What are you going to do with Warrior when four years from now he starts no showing and holding you up for more money?

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Warrior was a massive, massive superstar over a period of several years until contract negotiations derailed that. He's an excellent compliment to Undertaker because he's a ****ing crazy fan favorite versus Undertaker's quiet menace. They're great together.

Goldberg and Warrior are basically the same imo... and both bad picks

Why? What skills does he possess that would allow him to be a long-term success? If anything, Warrior's a great example of a guy who ran well. There's a better chance his career does nothing in multiple samples.

IMO, if the other half of the Blade Runners had been in the WWF, he would have been a huge star for a very long time.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I'll admit it, I'm a goldberg mark and love this pick. To me, he was always a throwback, old school type wrestler who was insanely believable. Vince also botched it up with Goldberg. While he was far from a great worker, to me at least, he had "it". I think it was the believable factor with him

Warrior was gonna fail no matter what. He was incapable of being a top superstar. Vince handled him fine. When you are ****ing crazy in the head you aren't going to succeed in many things.

Also, lol COOOOOOOOOOOOOLD BEEEEEEEEEEEEER

You kinda lost your credibility when you said Renegade was Warrior...

Yeah, we kept in touch for awhile. I still remember him calling me and telling me about his appearance on Raw. When I started to see the crazy rants on myspace, I got a hold of his ex-GF (which is how I met Alex to begin with) and she kind of divulged the story.

It's pretty sad because the dude was probably the best guy on the mic in the indies for the past few years, and it sounds like he's burned a lot of bridges (if he would ever want to go back to the carnival anyway).

I'm also kind of lol'ing at the professional wrestling purists around here acting all offended that massive stars maybe aren't the most technically proficient. Pro wrestling is based on the star system, how guys got there matters way less than the fact that they actually did.

Except for the fact that he absolutely was a top superstar I'm not really sure what to say. Lots of conjecture because you personally don't like him.

I may be a purist, but I also konw that the Ultimate Warrior was complete crap. Trust me, I pained my way through a whole bunch of tapes with him in them going from when he and sting were the blade runners to a whole lot of craptacular matches of his. He was a Vince creation that did jack **** outside of the bubble of being put over by Hogan and having the Vince marketing behind him

+1

The vast majority of fans don't give two ****s about how technically proficient a wrestler is(and never would know anyway, especially the kids). The point of this draft is not to win a wrestling competition, it's to form a federation.

And I guess they just pulled his name out of a ****ing hat to receive these kind of pushes. Could have been anyone!

and the point of forming a fed is to pick guys who can actually work a long term program(remember, we basically have 20 guys to work with), be able to talk on the mic, and not no-show events. Jim Hellwig fails on all accounts
