Chick Magnet or Cookie Monster depending on when you ask him. It came out of Chick Magnet though, but it officially doesn't stand for anything.

interesting, I thought it just means Chicago Made and that's what I've heard most by far, but I've only followed him in WWE.

so you dont watch wrestling currently. other wise you wouldent have to ask that question.

how about you either get some knowledge on the current subject, or just stay the xxxx away.

thanks for playing. hit the brick.

I'm happy we're now on page 9.

It's annoying when somebody posts several pictures side-by-side-by-side and screws up the width of the page. Let's not do that again folks.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Long-time SE lurker ... if there was one draft I wish I had participated in, this is it. *sigh*

I was a huge wrestling fan from 1991 (age 11) until 2003, then got away from it but still watch the big/best matches on Youtube whenever they're posted. I was a MASSIVE Bret Hart fan and preferred good workers/match storytellers above everything else, although I certainly appreciate great mic work.

My rankings so far:

Austin (a much better wrestler and storyteller than many give him credit for, especially before his knee injuries ... I take his peak over anyone's)
Flair (top three both workrate and mic, no one else touches that IMO)
HBK (I actually think he's been better since his return in 2002 than he was before, which is just ridiculous.)
Rock (Good wrestler, amazing mic skills)
Hogan (I hate him with a fiery passion but this is as far as I can drop him.)
Kurt Angle (Yah, really ... if anything he's still underrated.)
Bret Hart (Top three wrestler but not great on the mic IMO.)
Undertaker (He always delivers at big events against anyone who's not a complete stiff.)
Triple H (I actually think he's a little underrated by most. Great heel.)
Mick Foley (Brings a lot to the table, takes very little off it.)
Randy Savage (I may actually be underrating him here. Wasn't a huge fan of his.)
Sting (Same as Savage but I think Savage's overall package is better.)
CM Punk (I'm curious to see where dkny is going with this. Obviously it's terrible in a vacuum but let's see how his plan unfolds.)

And whoever it was (Dids?) who said there will be sick value/sleepers to be found later in this draft, I think he's dead right. I actually think this draft's most interesting rounds will be in the 4-5 range.

Just got back from dinner. Was gonna take Sting, but I was never a huge fan so I'm not too upset I missed him. Now I'm pretty much stuck between two guys, but I'll think about it and come up with something soon enough.

That would be fine, it will still be a bad pick, and we'd still make fun of him. But it's hilarious when he tries to tell everyone else how he's right and we're wrong when he clearly has a very (VERY) narrow of what good wrestling is. He's only looking at it from a technical/artistic standpoint (or looking mostly at that) while ignoring the largest variable for success: the ability to make money.

I have no problem with dnky taking the ROH roster and feeling content with himself. But for him to **** on anyone else's picks is hilarious to me.

Pro wrestling is not just what you're able to do in the ring. I mean, Flair's the number one guy of all time in most people's books, and the dude had a pretty generic blueprint for most of his matches.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

OK we didn't make a proper write-up for our 1st pick (#8) so here it is...

Let's preface this with a blurb from Vince McMahon (from Wiki):

In 2005, Vince McMahon reinforced Hart's drawing power, asserting that any company who hired him could have built their entire franchise around him.

Without further ado...

Bret "The Hitman" Hart

Entrance theme

Whether he was headlining the starpower of the WWF through the mid '90s, or trying to resurrect the WCW at the end of the decade, Bret Hart clearly had one of the best and most decorated professional wrestling careers of all-time...OF ALL-TIME.

The Hitman is a perfect performer to build a dynasty around. His unbelievable skill set allowed him to be great playing either heel or face--he helped make The Texas Rattlesnake into the icon he is by giving him the beatdown of a lifetime early in Austin's career. The crowd turned against Hart, and in turn, began backing Stone Cold.

What he may or may not lack in mic skills, he more than made up for on the technical side of wrestling. He could pull off any move inside the ring; something that very few wrestlers can say. The Sharpshooter was also one of the best finishing moves ever.

He'd do anything to help our promotion. The Hall of Famer never refused to drop a match, and he never injured an opponent in the ring.

I mean...how many other pro wrestlers have a hockey team named after them??

Some accomplishments:

--2-time King of the Ring champion
--5-time WWE champion
--2-time WWE tag-team champion
--2-time Intercontinental champion
--2-time WCW heavyweight champion
--4-time WCW USA champion
--WCW tag-team champion (1)
--inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

BRET "THE HITMAN" HART--THE BEST THERE IS, THE BEST THERE WAS, THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE...

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Actually, there's someone else I just thought of who I don't really want at all, but would have sick trade value and who there's a good chance I could trade for one of the two guys I want later. And the other one will probably end up slipping to me in the 2nd. Hmmm, this is tough.
