Go ahead and skip me for now. I'm on a ton of medication and research is a bit beyond what I feel like doing at the moment.

which still could have value because it is possible that his federation's fans won't care that they are fake and will buy into them as much as fans buy into the real Sting/Undertaker. Obviously thats a long shot though.

Before Johnson and Atlas won the tag team titles, Sonny King (a black guy) was 1/2 of the WWWF tag team champions in 1972.

this is very true for the McMahons. But, if you look at most NWA affiliated promotions and some of the outlaw promotions, there were a paltry few black wrestlers in any prominent position. Most of the black wrestlers were given gimmicks like Kamala (nothing wrong with Kamala, but it is a bit of a degrading gimmick on the whole and maybe he could've had a different gimmick if he was white) and other animal type gimmicks.

Outside of guys like Atlas, Art Thomas, Johnson, and 2 Undrafteds, you didn't really see any black wrestlers in major roles until Watts took over Mid-South and pushed JYD as big as he did and some other guys that he gave a real start to.

Its only been within the past 25 years that in wrestling as a whole that black wrestlers have been able to have gimmicks that are more real and be pushed higher up the card consistently

It'd be a mix of Razor/Diesel, parody, and they believe they're the real deal but not really fooling anyone.

Once the Fake Undertaker runs out he can turn him into Duke Dumpster Droese, and NWO Sting I guess he can send him to japan, in exchange for a high flying jobber

NozeCandy said to skip him.

FlyingRat/JRoth15 have had over 13 hours to make their selections.

So, I'm making my picks now. Otherwise, I'll be heading to bed and won't be available for quite a while.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Dynasty Wrestling Federation roster:

1st: Kurt Angle
2nd: Dusty Rhodes
3rd: David Von Erich
4th: Superstar Billy Graham
5th: Terry Gordy
6th: Iron Sheik
6th: Bobby Eaton
7th: Kevin Von Erich
7th: Mil Mascaras
8th: Tiger Mask (Satoru Sayama)
8th: Verne Gagne
9th: Stan Lane
9th: Jumbo Tsuruta

After being slightly concerned about being heel-heavy after six rounds, now I'm slightly face-heavy. I'm not really worried about it since several face vs. face matches in the DWF should be interesting (Mascaras vs. Tiger Mask and David Von Erich vs. Kevin Von Erich, for example).

The DWF now has one of wrestling's all-time greatest tag teams, the Midnight Express. Feuds with the Von Erichs, Mascaras/Tiger Mask and others should be easy.

*sheds tear*. Jumbo's death from cancer was extremely sad. What a complete professional in each and every way and a massive legend. The pick is beyond value at this point IMO, to get someone with the talent that Jumbo has is awesome

Finally someone picks Jumbo, my favorite wrestler of all-time. I figured he wouldn't be picked because he only wrestled in the US at the very beginning of his career. Unfortunately, he'll need a manager to get over in the US (I don't believe he speaks any English), and you don't have one yet. He was a great face in the beginning of his career and a great "grumpy old heel" while the youngsters of AJPW started taking over.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

It's not that uncommon for two guys who have wrestled quite a bit to have a chain of moves that they go to frequently. There's a Bret/Perfect match from 1989 that has a lot of the same chains that the Summerslam 1991 match has as well.
