I love that roster. Great blend of big, small, good workers, good promo guys, it's really solid.

We're drafting careers, not primes. Do I only get Finlay for 10 of his 30 since only 10 of them were in the US?

For lengevity - they're both coming up around a decade of in-ring time right about now and are young enough that I figure I can just assume 20 yrs
kendrick is wrestling for dgusa, and london is trying acting. so dont count on those 20 years.

i am a huge fan of these guys.

london had the promo of the year. ill find that.

london and bryan danielson promo of the year

yes, this is exactly why your roster isn't that good

just because vince gave a push to a guy, doesn't neccessarily mean that 1) they are good or 2) that they can actually draw money.

Vince has made plenty of dumbass mistakes with guys who should've been sure fire stars if his own ego didn't get in the way. And Vince has pushed plenty of guys who weren't good and gave them ******ed gimmicks. There is a world of wrestling outside of what Vince has done, it'd be well worth checking it out

Your roster isn't all that good, and its quite hard to turn chicken **** into chicken salad

^this. My only problem with how homicide has done the cop killa is that it is miles more dangerous then how Shane/Greg Helms did the vertebreaker

All wrestlers will be entering the beginning of their prime, no matter what era they were from. If they were popular in 1972, it is assumed that they will be just as popular now. The same goes with strength and ability.
You don't get Mickie James as she is now (or even when she debuted) being the same as Mickie James when she was wrestling in Podunk Nowhere behind the Steak n Shake.

Spoiler:

Petey Williams
Instead of a write-up, I'll just link you to his finishing move:

Spoiler:

2 Cold Scorpio
Not entirely sure who this guy is, but he has a funny name, a gimmick that sounds entertaining, and a pretty impressive move set according to wikipedia. Was also most underrated in the wrestling observer newsletter one year and won best move another year for his 450 splash. He also worked the recent Dragon's Gate USA pay-per-view, so I'm assuming he's a pretty good worker. If nothing else he'll add more athleticism and some entertaining gimmickry to my roster.

Roster so far:
The Rock
Owen Hart
Christopher Daniels
Dean Malenko
Shelton Benjamin
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams
"Sensational" Sherri Martel
Petey Williams
2 Cold Scorpio

Write up time for my 7th rounders

I'm not sure what you guys opinions were of Konnan/K-Dogg in WCW, but mine fluctuated between loving him when he was a member of the Wolfpack, and then slowly beginning to hate him as he came out every night and did the same promos over and over, and them showing his horrible rap videos every week on Nitro for several months. It always seemed like he got pretty solid pops though. However, he was absolute $$$$$ in TNA as the leader/mouthpiece of LAX imo, and with my previous selections of Homicide and Hernandez, drafting Konnan to lead my bad-ass LAX stable was an easy decision for me. Interesting tidbit about Konnan taken from Wikipedia: In his autobiography, Bret "The Hitman" Hart gave credit to Konnan for teaching him how to use his move, the Sharpshooter.

1 time WCW United States Champion
2 time WCW tag team champion
1 time WCW TV champion
2 time TNA Tag champion

Me and my friends always liked D-Lo Brown in the WWF, even though it seemed like he never was as popular with the fans as I would have thought he should of been (though at his peak he got some pretty nice pops IIRC) The sky-high was a pretty sick finishing move, and his head wagging celebration was always cool to me. I have some plans for him depending on how the rest of the draft shakes out, but right now, this is basically just a homer pick, and I'm not really sure which direction I want to take him just yet.

4 time WWf European Champion
1 time WWF Tag team Champion

My current roster:

HHH
Razor Ramon/Scott Hall
Christian Cage
Kane
Paul Heyman
LAX (Homicide, Hernandez, Konnan)
D-Lo Brown

Pick #188:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QwKbjbONWE
Spoiler:

Masato Tanaka

A worldwide hardcore legend, Tanaka doesn't know the meaning of the word pain. Tanaka brings a straightforward brawler-style to the ring and must have an extra two or three inches of skull underneath his skin in order to take that many chairshots! Tanaka had a number of great matches in ECW against Mike Awesome and is a welcome addition to my heavyweight division.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yblUDD2INjQ

Spoiler:
Joey Styles

The voice of ECW and, well, quite frankly, the voice of hardcore wrestling was, is, and continues to be one of the best announcers in wrestling history. Styles paid tribute to the wrestlers in the ring by honoring every move they performed. Joey's tell-it-like-it-is way of announcing separated him from all the other play-by-play guys that were too busy drooling over divas or talking about upcoming matches. Styles did entire pay-per-views all by himself and never missed a beat. Less we forget his trademark "OH MY GOD!!!" I liken Styles to the Gus Johnson of wrestling commentators. I figure, if I'm going to draft an announcer, why not draft the one guy that can do the whole show himself?

Spoiler:

Amazing Red

This dude is simply limitless in the ring, period. Think of him as Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, and RVD all in one, with his own personal taste all tied together. Red, currently wrestling in TNA, has a ton of Indy success and had brief stints in WWE and TNA before. Having tagged with Styles in ROH could add to their in-ring chemistry down the road.
