Lightweights suck. Their opponent lands some top rope manuever and then 2 seconds later they are fine and they are the ones on the top rope.

So are we enforcing the clock today or is it still considered the holidays?

I think it's fair to enforce it today. I'll listen to other opinions.

LOL at Brutus the Barber being a solid worker. His reputation among the smarts is that he had a job only because he was Hogan's friend.

Exact opposite for Adonis. Considered a very good worker much of his career who was unfortunately saddled with a homosexual gimmick by Vince for reasons that escape me now.

I had no idea Adonis died in 1988 until I just wikid him.

AH HA! This is not an issue with my target audience.

Honestly, I know he wasn't very good, but I am a sucker for a gimmick match. My initial plan was to draft Michael Hayes and have a DDT match with Jake. Once that fell through, it was time for Goodnight Irene to make an entrance.

****o, Pedro Morales was #1 on my board and the one guy left I was pretty excited about the prospect of. I actually think you have a really solid roster at this point if you can fill it out with some entertaining midcard guys.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Great idea, dunno how I missed it. LOL Muta falling to the 5th round, but getting Bruno in the 2nd round is the sickest value in any fantasy or IRL draft of anything ever. Like the Eagles falling to the 2nd round of a rock & roll draft.

I prolly take him (or Flair) #1 overall, esp based on OP criterion. Just for starters:

Quote:
Bruno headlined New York's Madison Square Garden 211 times and sold out MSG an astounding 187 times during his career!
If you weren't around back then it's impossible to describe how huge Bruno was. On the cover of every magazine every month and on & on.

Bruno was #5 on my overall board. I would've snap drafted him if he fell to me in the second... in fact I probably made a mistake by not trying to trade up for him. Flair vs Bruno would've been epic.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

tully blanchard is horribly under rated as a singles worker btw. He was just a pure heel that knew how to work that side of the spectrum and worked it briliantly. Just watch his "I quit" match against MagnumTA to see how great his psychology was. A brilliant match

Both Pedro & Tully phenomenal value. Tully may have actually been Flair's equal in TV interviews imo, all things considered.

while your audience isn't a smark audience (and even though I'm a smark, I'd be a fool to try to appeal just to that audience), really, how many gimmick matches can a guy be in before people don't give a crap about him? Ed Leslie would certainly fall under this type of thing. I can see him as a jobber or low card guy, but I generally feel that at this stage, we're drafting mid-card guys that should add depth to the roster, Brutus doesn't really do that IMO
