No

He actually rapped, though. He played super well and made a good bit (surprisingly enough).

sssssssooooooooo much hate for the low ki pick. I was brutally close to drafting him this round. Deezy and I were talking about it for a good 15-20 minutes as we both kept going back and forth between Low Ki, Windham, Chavo, and undrafted. I was hoping that he'd maybe slide into the 8th round to where deezy and I would try to trade up to get him.

Will work on editing in write-ups.
I really don't know about Corino. I hated him, but it was the negative kind of heat where you just don't care. Didn't really enjoy him in RoH either.

Love the TAKA pick though. With this lineup you guys can really show off what he can do, and have him be the big heel that he is in Japan. The thought of him competing night in, night out with the likes of Psicosis, Tajiri, and Lyger is mouth frothing

there have been a fair amount of feds over the years that have made good money for short runs and then flamed out badly. ScaryMikey's fed should be able to make enough money to be in business for a long time. Maybe it wouldn't have the theoretical highs as some would have, the quality would at least keep them profitable for a while

roster so far:

Chris Jericho
Roddy Piper
Booker T
Greg The Hammer Valentine
Michael Hayes
Ricky Morton
Yokozuna
Ken Shamrock
Eric Bischoff
Was wondering where bischoff was gonna go. Had considered him at one point, but I think that there is a bit of a problem with him is that he's so swarmy that he can make people want to change the channel

don't know what to think about shamrock either. He honestly went to the wrong promotion. New Japan wanted him, and I think he would've been a lot better there as he was gonna get a massive push and work a stiffer style to begin with. Both the WCW and WWF were just bad fits for him. He completely overplayed his gimmick, but there did seem to be some sort of talent there

Yeah, I think a thing that's good about our roster, is that almost all of them had a full 20 year career and are good enough workers to put on consistently good matches.

I think the roster I'd be least likely to tune into is the Kevin Nash roster, as much as I like Mr. Perfect. Runner-up is the McMahon roster. You can't use two of your first seven picks on primarily non-wrestling personalities and have Goldberg be your number one guy. JBL/Big Show for the main event after that? Yuck.

The roster that is going to be really awesome for ten years or whatever is the Rock, Owen Hart, Dean Malenko roster. HBK one will be hilarious also.

Yeah, it'll be weird putting together matches with wrestlers that people have heard of.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I mean, without knowing too much about Titos style I think it's going to be really hard to mesh enough of those styles together to have exciting main events for years and years. And along those lines, I could see Jeff and Ultimo putting on great shows in the upper middle group or whatever you want to call it, but I don't think there's too much flexability in terms of matchmaking. To me, it almost seems as if there were certain people picked to match up with someone specific that came before them, not with the roster.

All that said, it'll be interesting to see how they're all used/ storylines/ etc because I still think it could work.

We basically see Sting/Lawler as being able to recreate Sting/Flair in WCW days. That was the main event like hundreds of times and it was pretty successful. I'm not trying to say Lawler is Flair but he has comparable strengths.

I mean, at least you realize you're basically alienating these two as the headliners for many years. I'm sure you'll push others to make title runs what not, but the reason that Flair vs Sting was so successful for so long as because there simply wasn't anyone else really worthy of the strap in those days. There also were few options in terms of who's producing a quality product. That's not the case with this. A lot of the other feds in this (at least the ones that I believe will do best) will have 4 to 5 or even (maybe) 6+ people that could contend for their main strap at anytime which I feel gives them a significant edge over you.

Again, not saying you can't get it to work, but it's going to be tougher imo.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I highly disagree that a bunch of feds has 4-6 people that could contend for a title. You're underrating Steiner if you think he can't win it. Monsoon was one of the biggest names in wrestling for years. He can easily make title runs and win it. We'd probably have Hardy, Dragon, and Tito rotate battles for the secondary belt and those matches would rule. And obv there's more guys to draft that will mix it up. I happen to think I think I'm going to get someone that's basically a HW title contender in a few picks.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Steiner, Hardy, and Monsoon could all legit make title runs, but (not knowing how long Monsoons "peak" lasted) Steiner and Hardy were only on top for a short time. Maybe I haven't fully grasped how this will work in terms of how we'll be able to groom our talent into what we want and things like that.

I know you said we'll get them at their peak, but what if their peak didn't last long?

Also, I had forgotten just how talented and successful Lawler was in his wrestling days and sort of discredited him when I made the initial statement that your roster wasn't deep with main eventers. Though you disproved that thought, I still sort of stand by it... at least until the above is clarified.

Yea, still don't think the styles mesh well at all, though.

Yeah, Monsoon and Lawler's wrestling careers will probably get overlooked. They both have sick success and longevity, especially Lawler. I was surprised he wasn't a first round pick tbh.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Ugh, I hate Lashley. Got way overexposed with Vince trying to make Black Lesnar, never really showed he was good at anything, then bailed cause he got prima donna treatment.

That said, your roster definitely benefits from a huge guy with size who can just bowl people over.

I'm gonna agree with the iggylove, mostly because of the variety of guys he has one there. Lot of different personalities and worker types to throw together.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

The Gorilla Monsoon talk made me look for Superstar Billy Graham's first WWWF title defense against Monsoon where Monsoon "almost won the title". Unfortunately, it seems to have been taken down from You Tube.

I did accidentally stumble on this. It's got some interesting stuff in it.
