I PM'd b123 right away and told him it was dumb for Gordy and Hayes not to be on the same roster. I'm open to trade discussion with him and Cruizn63.

You're right. Would have loved to see what they could do in a feud that was put higher on the card, but they got a decent amount of screentime and build. Of course, that was when WWF actually had a midcard.

With the #126 in the draft the Classic Wrestling Federation is happy to select:

Spoiler:
"You have the right to suffer. You have the right to feel pain. If you have an attorney present, I'll hurt him too!!"

Spoiler:

I'm happy to add in this spot someone who belongs to the rare combination of large size and solid wrestling ability. On Saturday Night's Main Event, against Hulk Hogan he took a pretty great bump when he was superplexed off the top of the cage. Able to work as both a face and heel he adds some pretty solid versatility to the roster. He's also going to stay far far away from his late 90s WWF gimmick.

Good pick. Considered him with the Monsoon/Santana pick also. I always hated him but he was good at what he did. Pretty funny story line when he killed Al Snow's dog and fed it to him.

I had him targeted for next round. Nice pick.

With pick #127 the CWF selects:

Spoiler:

One of the greatest personalities in wrestling history, Jesse Ventura will do a great job in this federation as a top heel both in the ring and in the booth. He was one of the pioneers of the bodybuilder type which came to dominate the WWF in the 80s (he even had a running joke of accusing Superstar Billy Graham of stealing his look).

In the AWA he had a nearly year long tag title reign in the early 80s. Shortly after that ended he jumped to the WWF where he would become a top heel challenger to whatever face was champion at the time (either Backlund or Hogan). Lung issues would force his in ring retirement in 1984.

He called the first six Wrestlemanias, always supporting the heel (or Randy Savage) in contrast to Gorilla Monsoon. The face/heel dynamic was another innovation that could be attributed to Ventura.

Plus he called out Dick Cheney which has to be worth 1000 bonus points: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoqmH49VBC0

Ventura was on my short list and I probalby would have taken him (I draft next). That'll probalby just make my choices easier, though.

I passed on Ventura in the last round because I already have Superstar Billy Graham.

We were talking about Ventura earlier, but his short career made us stay away. Obviously great in the booth.

I should qualify that. At this point of the draft, longevity's not a huge issue. Ventura's a great pick.

I don't even know who 75% of the drafted people are since the 3rd round.
