LOL all four guys I wanted this round have been either drafted or discussed... you should have convinced your partner to make that trade antidan

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I think Steiner and Santana have proved throughout their career that they can basically be paired with anyone we draft and be a legit tag-team.

Yeah, I was pretty confident both Bourne and Lynn would last another 20 picks. But Wrane really wanted Bourne, and given the conniptions I went through when Heenan left the board, it's better I'm the only team member who suffered a heart attack this round.

(Ross and Heenan ... woulda been so good ... Bah ...)

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

this thread has been really entertaining to go through and has brought back a lot of fond memories when I was a kid. My uncle had one of those black boxes to get every channel for free and I used to watch all the PPV in the Hogan, Sgt. Slaughter, Ultimate Warrior, Big Boss Man, Hacksaw, Jake the Snake, Rowdy, Brutus days. Keep the youtubes coming.

You mean you weren't a big fan of Repo Man? As Repo Man, Smash proved he is capable of being a top 40 singles wrestler in 1994 WWF, lol

The point is if you took Ax, someone probably would have taken Smash and UNDRAFTED and still had a similiar(though not as good) legitimate tag team

Repo Man is Smash so he is already drafted, unless that is what you meant.

I got them confused. Smash/Repo Man is definitely the more valuable of the two, so what I meant to say is that Ax was one of the worst picks. Nobody would have taken Ax without Smash so he could have gotten him later.

Hell no. Ax is way better than Smash. Masked Superstar ftw.

No one in their right mind would've drafted WMVII version Demolition.

You might be right but its a gamble, i mean i still think that those two AX and Smash are SO MUCH more valuable together, so I don't hate the picks

Are you aware that McMahon almost put the WWF belt on Bill Eadie (Ax) in November of 1983 as his Masked Superstar persona?

No, but I'm aware that almost every casual fan on the planet couldn't pick Bill Eadie out of a lineup in his prime.

EDIT: That's a bad argument though, so nevermind. Still think Smash was more famous in Demolition so that makes him the famous of the two.

i would say in drafting guys like ricky morton, that you are putting them in the package that makes them the best. I would say that as a single wrestler, Ricky Morton isn't worth a pick right now, but teamed as RnR Express him and the other one are fully worth a pick right now

of course it is, but why would one draft ricky morton to be in anything other then the RnR Express. Tag teams can always be broken up, but certain tag teams really need the other one to be fully effective, especially when those wrestlers involved in the team were nothing more then jobbers after the team broke up

You don't really understand how drafting works then. Why can't he just pair him up with his teammate later? Is it foolish to think his teammate won't get drafted by someone else between now and the last round?

Each pick is an individual pick regardless of you take right after them. These double picks are no different. They're just two individual picks. All you can do is take who you feel is the best wrestler available. There's no chance that taking both guys of a tagteam in the sixth round are BOTH the best available picks. Dedicating two picks to a tagteam is almost always going to be a bad strategy here when there are so many guys with single and tagteam success.

Al Snow is a really good pick imo. Probably better than some of the ECW/X-Division guys that have went already.

Goldust is also a good pick. I figured he'd be underrated in this draft due to being so weird, but he's good in the ring and certainly entertaining as hell. I love your team so far.
