THE MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin

damn you, damn you to hell. I was gonna pitch these two to deezy for the next round

Wow @ Yokozuna being picked. I don't think at face value its a horrible pick, but right when you pick ricky morton and not finish off teaming up the RnR express is just a whole lot of bad IMO. I'm not the biggest yokozuna fan on the whole, but he did have enough of a run to get picked at a later stage, but man, that's a whole lot of fail on those two picks when you combine them

yea, picking morton and then not finishing the team shocked me.

and as far as the machine guns, i thought it could have been a bit of a reach, but all the tag teams i was hoping for were cut in half last round. and the guns are quality both in ring and on the mic.

Why can't he just pick him later? I think it's a huge mistake to take the lessor member of a tagteam just to take them together. For example, Demoltion Smash is one of the worst picks in the draft at #111. Would anyone have taken him for a few rounds? Almost certainly not, so why not take one of the very good solo guys and take Smash later? Same can be said for most tagteams.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I think its kind of scummy and cheating the draft to take one now and one later and f you on the tito pick. I debated between demolition and tito and undrafted. Thought Demolition was certaintly getting taken if I took someone else

It's not cheating at all. The double-pick rounds aren't called the tagteam rounds, and LOD has already been broken up so it's a legit risk. Just one of the reasons why I wanted tagteams to be allowed to be drafted together. I'm not complaining though as the current rules have worked out well imo.

I still think making your own tag teams is way more interesting than drafting an established one.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I see both ways. Like obv No one is taking undrafted to go with cruizins pick, I know I could have gotten Demolition Ax or Smash later but I didnt like the way that felt. Also, Demolition was not possible to wait on because someone could have taken smash and undrafted and screwed me

+1, plus I think people are putting a little too much value in the actual teams. There's huge value in just knowing that a guy can be effective as a tag team member. Not everyone can, and you can point to a lot of failed experiments as evidence. There's nothing, for example, preventing us from putting Tito Santana and Scott Steiner together on a team.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

Meh, only kinda agree on splitting up a tag team. You can't just put two big guys together and call them Demolition, and you also can't just take Bill Eadie and some other guy and call that an awesome tag team too. Modern era tag teams though I think can be broken up rather easily though. Bubba can be paired with any rando hardcore guy and you will have a solid tag team.
