i really think the trish stratus pick is just flat out bad. Women's wrestling doesn't draw, Trish never really drew, and when we only really have 15 wrestlers to pick, those picks are at a premium, and using them on in ring talent is the best way to go. Now, when someone actually tries to claim that Trish drew, ask yourself this, did you ever turn on RAW or Smackdown just because a Trish match was on, my guess is that the answer is no, so no, she never drew
question: who watches wrestling for the most part?
answer: males, ages 10-30.

question: what do males, aged 10-30 wanna see?
answer: hot blondes with big breasts.

id defenetly argue that trish would cause the non wrestling fan to watch for 10 minutes.

re: womens wrestling not selling.

for about a 4 month stretch of tna impact last year, the quarter hour ratings for when the women were on tv were higher than when the men were on.

if this happened once, ok, things happen. but this happened week, after week, after week.

Don't get the Trish hate at all ..... she's way more appealing than some of the jobbers drafted in this round

Just because the average hardcore fan that participates in wrestling drafts and knows all the independent wrestlers doesn't tune in to watch the women doesn't mean that the same is true for the casual fans. If TNA can draw better ratings than 1st-rounders in this draft with women that won't even be considered for a long time, I see no reason why Trish Stratus can't outdraw Rhyno or Road Warrior Animal.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

X-Pac is my most hated wrestler of all time. That is all I have to say.

Actually no. I'd rather switch the channel than watch that guy wrestle. He takes negative heat to a new level.

I remember marking hardcore when this upset happened. I mean, anyone that is already in the ring when the heel is coming down the aisle is surely going to lose................right?:

I remember thinking that X-Pac was pretty horrible. Like, small guy who worked below average matches and the worst mic skills I have ever seen. However some of my friends liked him for whatever reason.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I just got caught up.

Thoughts.

Andre the Giant went later than I expected.
The Vince pick was genious.
Kurt Angle was the first 'are you kidding me' pick.
CM Punk would have been there in later rounds.
Million Dollar Man was a good value pick.

Re: Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft

I don't see how anyone thinks that Kurt Angle is not one of the greatest workers of the last 20 years, honestly. His wrestling skills are top-notch, he was great on the mic, drew major heat when playing a heel, and fans had no choice but to respect him for his overall ability.

this is one of the truest posts in this entire thread. but make all the past tense, and make them present tense. because angle is still awesome.
