Held the tag titles with UNNAMED in the WWF when Flair was still in Georgia, so he had legitimate success without the Horseman gimmick. One of my favorite wrestlers ever.

+1 to all that. WTF number 12 overall for this boring chump? Fail fail and fail.

I think the crowd is falling asleep.

he can, that's why he should've been the 12th pick in the 4th rd, not the 1st.

But, he has a vision, as fun as it is to judge now, we have to let it all play out.

I'm starting to think outside the box again with the fifth pick. Given how well it worked with the third pick, Wrane may want to put me on ignore or send Guido to my house.

His strategy is to draft the people with the largest difference between wrestling ability and drawing power

Nah ... he didn't take Dean Malenko 12th.

he was the guy I had at the top of my board 1.5 rounds ago. Great wrestler when he was younger, very versatile.

I think my promotion has enough great mic guys that Malenko's weaknesses won't be an issue, obviously.

EDIT: Woah wtf, how am I up again already. Will pick soon.

I didn't have a (big) problem with you taking Malenko where you did. If he had gone 12th ... well, you see? :-D

I was looking at Malenko as well but, like a lot of guys, I thought he'd drop further.

Alright, everyone is going to hate this pick but I don't pick again in forever and want him really badly. It's a definite homer/mark pick.

Spoiler:

Shelton Benjamin

This is going to look bad since Shelton has never really risen above midcard status in WWE, but I don't think it's a stretch to say that nobody has been a victim of terrible booking more than this guy. He was voted "Most Underrated" by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter three straight years from 2005-2007, and since then has still been saddled with crappy gimmicks and matches that don't display his strengths.

Benjamin was an amateur wrestling standout at the University of Minnesota and is just a freak of an athlete. He can do things in the ring that very few guys can do, and when given a rare opportunity to show his stuff he has basically always delivered. This match with Shawn Michaels on Raw is one of the best I've ever seen on WWE TV:

The only thing supposedly holding Shelton back is his mic work/charisma, but honestly, WWE has given him so few chances to cut a real promo or have an actual feud with someone that I think it's unfair to judge him that way. In a promotion with The Rock, Christopher Daniels, and other charismatic guys, I am confident that Shelton will get over and be a star in my promotion. If unleashed, I think he can get a lot of popularity just with his move set and athleticism the way someone like AJ Styles does.

Other Shelton highlights:

Promotion so far:
The Rock
Owen Hart
Christopher Daniels
Dean Malenko

Eh, I don't hate it but I think there are better all-around guys still out. Then again, I know what it is to be a mark for someone (Morrison) and if you love a guy that much, I get it.
