All Scott's later days show is that he has an ability to be both a singles star who focuses more on promo stuff and an in-ring specialist. That sure is a huge burden for a promoter to have to deal with.
reromo stuff

hornswoggle has better promo stuff.

re:in-ring specialist

At the same time, Scott Steiner was being groomed as a singles performer. On WCW's weekend TBS shows (WCW Power Hour, WCW Saturday Night, and WCW Main Event), there was a special "gauntlet" match segment where a performer was picked to wrestle a top star on each show on that weekend, winning the sum of $10,000 USD (kayfabe) if they defeated all three. Steiner was the first announced to run the gauntlet with his first opponent being Ric Flair. By way of backfiring interference by the Four Horsemen, Steiner beat Flair by pinfall. He would then get a title match against Flair at Clash of the Champions XIV: Dixie Dynamite on January 30, 1991, which ended in a time limit draw. Steiner would go on to win the WCW World Television Championship on September 29, 1992, and began teasing a heel turn, which was aborted upon the Steiner Brothers leaving WCW for the World Wrestling Federation after being lowballed on their contract renewal by then-WCW head Bill Watts.[3][4]

i agree, his tag stuff was very good. i remember watching a survivor series in like 93 when i was 8, and enjoying the hell out of it.

but ever since he joined the nWo, he was exposed to be the underperforming wrestler he is.

Or maybe he just played a different role in his later years. I'm sure his complete change in body size doesn't have anything to do with his dramatically different role. The guy played two completely different roles and was popular/prominent in both. I fail to see how that isn't a great piece in this draft.

I'm not sure if I should post this video for fear of 'OMG UNDRAFTEDS', but here goes.

Kinda surprised there wasn't more talk about Liger. Figured a bunch of people would hate on it.

Anyway, everyone needs to watch his match with the Great Sasuke from the 94 J Cup. Probably my favorite match of all time. Botched spot at the end makes it even better because Liger ****ing rules.

This thread has inspired me to watch wrestling for the first time in 10 years. CM Punk is on right now, and he's really annoying. What kind of gimmick is this straight edge BS?

oh and there is gonna be both a ROH show on friday night, and PWG show saturday night.

Liger's a hell of a wrestler who isn't going to give you much else (promos, star power, etc.). I still think it's a solid pick, though.

Liger does ****ing rule. In Liger vs UNDRAFTED, Liger going crazy when he got his mask ripped off was awesome.

but really, how often does anyone pay attention to cruiser/junior heavyweight promos. They mostly want guys who will go out and entertain in the ring, and if a Cruiser/Junior has the extra charisma, then they will go up the card like they normally do. Lyger can get over in the ring and has an extra level of charisma, but yes, a manager would help in that area

With the 85th overall pick, DetlefSchrempf selects.......

Spoiler:

Double-A Arn Anderson

A successful singles and tag team wrestler of 80's and 90's and one of the original members of the Four Horsemen, Anderson is a welcome fit to my heavyweight division. Someone that could legitimately feud with either Austin or Lesnar and possibly be thrown into the tag team division later on.

My promotion so far:
Stone Cold Steve Austin
Brock Lesnar
AJ Styles
Lance Storm
Arn Anderson

Awesome pick.

Very good pick at this point. Mjw was pushing us to take him earlier. I understand why he's a good pick but I just really dislike him and was never a fan. He just seems so incredibly boring.

Does he have to hold up four fingers in every picture he's in? Move on imo.

To be fair, I think a lot of wrestling back in the early 80's and 90's was pretty boring. Arn and the rest of the horsemen were overshadowed by Flair's greatness imo.
