I took Scott Steiner 77th and you took CM Punk 12th. How does it feel that someone who hasn't watched wrestling in years is better in this draft than you when you're so passionate about it?

Meh if I'm some random guy I'm way more interested in the star power of Sting/Lawler/Hardy/Steiner.

Like the developing feud though

Can someone clarify the rule about japanese wrestlers? Can they be drafted if they wrestled in the states for a part of their carrer?

They are judged based on what they did in the US (overness, ect.). Inoki for example was disallowed if that helps at all.

how about wrestling fans. what would the people who would actually watch the product prefer?

personally, id rather not watch steiner stumble thru promo, or nearly kill someone by botching a move very badly.

Steiner is horrible in the ring? I don't think you know as much about pro wrestling as you think you do.

Exactly. I haven't looked at all the rosters but I doubt there is a worse roster than his.

If we presented this thread to Vince McMahon at the end of this he'd look at mine and be like

Then he'd look at dnky's and be like

You're missing out.

Yeah, I think there's a big difference between Steiner in the ring in the late '00s and Steiner in the ring in the early-to-mid 90s. He definitely had some really solid in-ring ability.

steiner post 98ish wasn't good in the ring. Before that he was an innovator in the ring

I'm not a huge Steiner fan but even I have to concede late 80s-early 90s Steiner was ****ing awesome. Steiner Screwdriver, anyone?

steiner when he had UNDRAFTED with him was worlds better than when he was on his own and exposed.

which shows that the 2nd half of his wrestling life is... just not good

I dunno if that's true or if he never really got the opportunity to go off on his own back when he was really good.

LOL... so Rick Steiner was the key to Scott's success? Give me a ****ing break dude. Scott was the better in-ring wrestler AINEC.

All Scott's later days show is that he has an ability to be BOTH a singles star who focuses more on promo stuff and an in-ring specialist. That sure is a huge burden for a promoter to have to deal with. My write-up specifically talks about his flexibility and it being a reason we took him.

i agree with this post 100% actually.

goes to show that just because a company has a tv deal, doesent make them the big leagues.

oh, and a certain company that is not eligible does have a tv deal.

strange

but he was in a ME position in the 2nd half of his wrestling life. He was put over as a strong champ when WCW was dying and was doing a solid job of carrying the belt and actually stabilizing it

his WWF run was awful because Vince just didn't really want him to be put over and HHH called a match that made sure to make Steiner look bad
