KDawg and I discussed taking Ventura but went a different way but Ventura is awesome here.

I flew out of Minneapolis to Mexico on the same plane as Ventura and he was awesome, talking to everybody, cracking jokes and overall being way cooler than everyone else

I've been following this thread and am very disappointed that the greatest punching bag in the history of the WWF/E hasn't been drafted yet.

"Dear Gawhd, he went right through...

Spoiler:
The Spanish Announcers Table!!!"

Damnit. Why can't our picks stick around one ***** time?

Strike Force was such a legit pick but it got screwed up ala Muta. Fuuuuuck!

Psychosis? His best claim to being picked is that he is mocked in this awesome Bret Hart promo (yes, there is such a thing!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZe6LvqQaVk

His second is that he lost two titles he never even won when he was in WCW (he defended the IWGP jr. heavy title for his tag partner who was the champ and lost it, and was awarded the light heavyweight title when WCW removed the character who held the title previously from tv due to complaints that the character was intended to instigate homophobic behavior amongst the crowd).

I can't believe I failed to list both Shane-O-Mac and Ventura on my board. That is such ridiculous fail on my part that I should be banished from this draft.

He's worked 18 years of matches so far; the goal of the draft isn't to select the guy with the most high profile title reigns or the guys most recognizable to people that watched WCW and WWE from 98-02. When you draft Tajiri, you don't have to job him to Jonathan Coachman 15 years into his career, and when you draft Psicosis, every misuse throughout his career doesn't need to be repeated either.

TNA had a great one that no one seemed to like except for me, but then they replaced him with Tazz who's absolutely terrible.

Matt Striker and Lawler both show hints of being heel, but it's pretty toned down and basically amounts to appreciating the heel wrestlers and accepting what the heels are preaching and playing dumb. Lawler is certainly capable of being a great heel announcer and Striker has shown that he's also likely capable.

As long as his name's been mentioned now, I thought Don West was a great heel announcer once they had the little angle where he got fired and came back as a full-on total heel announcer. I actually haven't enjoyed the product much at all since he left and they replaced him with Tazz. All he does is tell these stupid corny jokes all the time and you can tell he doesn't know all that much about the product. Plus, his "analysis" all comes off like he's trying to sound like the football announcers who don't know what they're talking about and just fill space with a bunch of empty words instead.
