Professional Wrestling Promotion Draft
Prob. tough to be anything decent in the ring when you have grapefruits for biceps and a barrell-sized upper body. I'm surprised he can fit through the door.
I guess everyone hates it but really I don't think there is much mainstream market for masked guys that dont talk these days
I'm actually a decent Kaneinite and had mixed feelings on the decision. Had to happen eventually I guess. The only way his character could grow at this point in his career.

Even he would say, "Uh, no" to this.
Pretty much everyone who has <5 posts in this thread is writing in hyperbole.
ack, was hoping that Heenan would drop to deezy and I for the next round. We were talking about him as that pick went up
Mick Foley is a humble man, of course he would not take so much credit in a world that is filled with memorable and outstanding superstars that paved this mans dreams of becoming an American idol, actionstar, and roll model to every young fan out there in the WWF.
Now every man has there opinions, but I root for a man who BLEEDS WWF while stopping at no costs to entertain the people.
• Six concussions from 1986 to 1998 • One broken jaw in 1986 • Two broken noses in 1993 • One broken cheekbone in 1998 • Lost four front teeth from 1989 to 1998 • Two-thirds of his ear ripped off in 1993 • A separated shoulder in 1990 • A fractured left shoulder in 1989 • A dislocated shoulder in 1998 • Second degree burn on his shoulder in 1995 • Second degree burns on his arm in 1995 • 54 stitches on his left arm in 1995 • A broken right wrist in 1989 • Bone chips in his right elbow in 1996 • Six broken ribs from 1991 to 1998 • A torn abdominal in 1992 • A torn ACL • A broken toe in 1991 • A total of over 300 stitches in his arms, head, eyebrows, hands, ears, shin, cheek and lip • Thousands of thumb tack holes

If injuries equals talent then Trent Edwards is a very underrated QB
I could (and probably would) make the argument that Mick Foley made more out of "less" (not to be confused with "little") than any top-20 wrestler of all-time (which most people seem to agree he's one of the top 20). I mean, if you were to put the top 20 in a police lineup and tell someone, "These guys are all pro wrestlers, who doesn't belong?" they'd almost certainly pick Foley. Not a good body. Not a good "look." Doesn't look athletic at all. And yet he was a very good (again, I stop at great) worker, tough as nails, a great talker, knew how to get heat and work a feud. (EDIT: And as was said, he LOVED what he did and LOVED entertaining people.)
He's not Shawn Michaels or Ric Flair. But that's part of the beauty of Foley.

tbh, most of the people who wrestled teh style that foley did for a long time will suffer the majority of these types of injuries(sabu's list would be much longer and gruesome). Also, almost all of the injuries that you listed were before he joined WWF. A lot of Cactus Jack and deathmatch injuries, so he wasn't bleeding WWF when he suffered them, though he certainly was bleeding

it's write up time:
Round 5, Pick 105: Kofi Kingston
This pick came about mostly because of his recent angle with Randy Orton. Deezy and I want a young face who we can groom for a big run 5-8 years down the road when the likes of Brisco and Funk slow down a bit. While not the most amazing technical wrestler, I like what he brings to teh ring as his moves work in the frame of the match and how he styles a match. He can do a more flying style, but has the ability to work a slower and more build up based match too. Right now he can also work very well with any of our top guys. Most of all, he's a guy that Deezy and I feel that we can write some strong programs for, and he's shown that he can handle those programs and really propel himself up the card.
accomplishments:
Pro Wrestling Illustrated
PWI ranked him #35 of the top 500 singles wrestlers in the PWI 500 in 2009
World Wrestling Entertainment
World Tag Team Championship (1 time) – with CM Punk
WWE Intercontinental Championship (1 time)
WWE United States Championship (1 time)
Round 6, pick 106: Road Warrior Hawk
This pick wasn't to block Animal and Hawk joining together as the Road Warriors, this was because the opportunity arose to put together a rockin tag team with two guys that can be singles wrestlers (and in the case of Sasaki, he's had most of his success as a single) and add depth to the heel side of things for us(though they can obviously switch to being faces too). Hawk was always the worker in the Road Warriors and he's had prominant singles matches in NWA with Flair and others. Obviously he will mostly be used as a Tag Team Wrestler, and the Power Warriors will be the spine of the Tag Team division

Round 6, pick 107: Kensuke Sasaki
I'm glad to be making this pick. Yes, he didn't have a super extended run in the US, but this is a top man in Japan that did win the US title in 1995 and had successful tag matches with Hawk in WCW while also having singles matches in WCW. He can translate the Japanese style to the US as he has done his share of brawls and is an overall ass kicker. When not in a Tag Team with Hawk, he will be high on the card as a ME level talent.

Billy Gunn is a great wrestler who gives me some options. He was part of three successful tag teams, and he was also fairly succesfull as a solo performer.
He has the look, and the skills to be a top flight performer in my federation. He instantly gives me a good tag team. I can draft one of his partners, or I can team him up with Pillman as the "Bad Ass", or with Honky Tonk as "rockabilly". He can just as easily feud both those guys as a solo wrestler. I say this as a casual fan of the sport, but I was always impressed with his athleticism and skill in the ring. He might be a bit of a reach , but I feel that he opens a lot of story lines for me.
Stable so far:

It's amazing how we can have such similar views about Flair and such different views about Scott Hall ("Ramon").
Flair was the undisputed and obvious top man in a top promotion for basically a solid decade (you can't say this about Rock or Austin; and the worst pick in the whole draft is taking HBK when Flair was still available-HBK was never even clearly the top wrestler in his promotion, and when HBK was at his peak the WWE was not very popular)-he had the best promos at the time, he was in many of the best matches of all time, and was absolutely amazing at putting over another wrestler-just throw anybody in a feud with Flair, and he would get way over-from either the people who hated flair for his outlandish arrogance and bragging about his wealth and fame, or from those who just loved Flair, and instantly would want to watch any match that one of his enemies was in, hoping the enemy would lose. Ric Flair probably made more superstars than Austin, Rock, and HBK combined, a huge asset to have in your promotion. With a snap of the finger Flair could switch from being top heel to top face (e.g. feud with Funk right after Steamboat, retirement storyling with Vader, etc.). If anything, I think you underrated Flair; if Flair doesn't get a 10 in charisma or drawing power, who does?
I can't fathom how you could give Scott Hall a 3 for drawing power, especially given the people you gave much higher scores to. When Hall returned to TNA nearly a decade after his prime, the crowd went crazy for a long time. When he showed up in ECW, the crowd went crazy. Most importantly, he was the #2 mic guy and worker in the NWO, the prime cause of WCW going from rating around 3 to ratings around 7; from losing every week to the WWF to beaten them every week for almost 2 years straight. Hall had been a heel for his entire time in WCW, yet when he unexpectedly accompanied Kevin Nash to the ring in a match against Hogan, the crowd went crazy. Like Flair, either you love Hall, or you love to hate Hall-this is what you want; the last thing you want is fans being apathetic to a guy, as they won't be interested in his matches or segments unless they have strong feelings about him. On the mic, Hall had something new and golden nearly every promo from 96-98, and as Ramon decided on and followed flawlessly his own brilliant gimmick. The catch phrases he used were also huge, among the most popular ever (Hey Yo still gets huge responses to this day; the Nwo catch phrases he popularized were huge at the time); the only wrestlers who clearly are ahead of him in the ability to craft and popularize catch phrases are Hogan, Rock and Austin. You may have not been a fan; but he always had the vast majority of the audience at full attention when he was on the mic. This was at a time when Bischoff was letting wrestlers say whatever they wanted; Hall didn't even need a writer. His promos during WCW were just crazy good; and contained 'attitude' before Mcmahon allowed attitude in WWE.
Here are some links to his popularity, which demonstrate how pleased fans were to have this guy around in their promotion:

Check out 6:20 in this vid:

I also disagree with you on Hall in terms of longevity. He wrestled for more or less 22 years straight, was on and off for a few years, and has wrestled the past couple of years straight. That has to be a 8-9.
His in ring work I have to go with something near your ranking; at his best he was a clear 10, able to put up a 4-5 star match against an opponent his size, much smaller, or much larger, which only a handful of wrestlers have ever been able to do. However, he often wasn't at his best; lackadaisical during matches and/or intoxicated and/or recovering from intoxication.
So, regardless of where Ramon ranks, for Scott Hall in total I think you have:
DRAWING POWER: 9
IN-RING WORK: 7
MIC SKILLS: 9
CHARISMA: 9
LONGEVITY: 9
The real issues with Hall aren't things you have included in your rankings; he often didn't obey ownership and struggled with significant off-camera issues. Just going by your criteria Hall was an absurdly good value pick at the slot he was selected.

Oh yeah Hall is my favorite of all time, while Piper, Jake the Snake, Bruno, The Dragon and Owen were great 2nd round picks, and many of us love those guys, unless your like 50 and over(bruno) none of them are probably your 1 favorite, maybe top 3 or 5 depending on the person, but Hall got that kind of charisma
I have family getting in town tomorrow for the holidays and am going to be really busy all week....hopefully I can get my picks in today....otherwise I'll try my best to send a list to someone.
