OK, maybe I'm crazy (and I watched during the Trish "era"), but there's no way she should be the number one female pick.

To expand on my argument...

If you're going to evaluate the pick on her ability to wrestle, you're making a hudge mistake, imo. Even if I grant you that she's the best in-ring female wrestler available (she isn't), we're still talking about women's wrestling. It doesn't draw as an in-ring product.

With that in mind, the primary roles for women in wrestling are to look good while performing manager/valet duties. And I can think of at least two women who should be taken ahead of Trish in that regard, and one that probably should be, but wasn't around in the WWF-Playboy era.

Trish is arguably the best combination of looks, mainstream appeal, and wrestling (and I'd have to do some research to figure this out, I never planned on taking any non-valet women), but again, IMO, there's very little value in women actually wrestling.

I can think of one woman I would clearly take ahead of Trish with regards to this.

So can I, but they don't have the upside in the other areas that Trish does and so overall I'd rank them lower.

I wouldn't argue that Trish should be the first drafted woman

Its pretty hard to debate this until others get drafted

I can only think of one woman that's even debatable here and she's not from the modern era. Among women whose careers were post-1995, I can't even imagine it being remotely close. Even if you don't care about the in-ring product, Trish's acting ability puts her miles ahead of the pure "eye candy" girls and is going to get storylines over much better. Also, from an overness standpoint, I can't remember any other women that consistently popped the crowd the way Trish did. And you can't just throw out her wrestling performances either. I definitely plan to have a women's division in my fed and I think that in the modern era, women who can wrestle are much more valuable than pure valets.

I don't like the idea of anyone but male wrestlers on a 15 person roster, if we had it 20 I might get two women wrestlers and with 30 maybe 4. This just feels like when someone drafts a kicker way too early. Trish is probably the best female WWE's ever had if you count looks+charisma+ring talent, if you skip inring I could see the 2-3 undrafteds having a good case.

And my women's division in EWR right now is 25% of the roster and my women's division in SD vs RAW 06 on RAW side is also 25%, so I like the women who can wrestle.

Well, if i was assuming that we were actually only going to have 15 people on our rosters than I agree that it wouldn't really work to have a women's division, but I was thinking more along the lines that we were drafting the 15 people that would be most influential to our federation's success, and that the rest of the roster would be filled with replacement-level talent. If you're going to have 2 women in your first 20 picks, I don't see why you shouldn't have one in your first 15, especially if said woman is the best all-around female talent of all-time and a huge draw on her own.

Actually, if you can have 2 in your first 20, then as long as I plan on taking 2 women in the first 15, there's really no difference right?

isnt it obvious who the other female is? i agree, trish shouldnt have been the first, but its really close imo. not a bad pick, definitely agree with the strategy of getting one of the marquee women.

I think there are two who are clearly better picks. You can PM me if you want.

(I'm probably not taking a woman before round 20, if at all.)

Honestly, how can you not love Scott Hall? To me he was the most likeable heel of all time, surpassing even Corporate Rock. His swagger, bravado, and machismo were really something to behold, and his Cuban accent smack talk was truly awesome. Add onto this his amazingly awesome trademark toothpick flick, the fact that he was capable of putting on tremendous matches (HBK/Razor Wrestlemania Ladder Match is still my favorite match of all-time), and a ****ing sweet finisher in the Razor's Edge, and to me the guy is the total package, alcoholism be damned. Hell, I even loved him as a member of the nWo, his "survey says....one more for the good guys" promos never failed to crack me up. I saw someone mention that HHH and Hall being together could be a problem, but I assure you when they see the amazing booking I have put together they will have no desire to influence storylines.

As you might be able to tell, as a wrestling fan I have always much preferred the heels to the faces, as they have always seemed much more interesting to me. In the Tiburon Wrestling Association, I plan to utilize both HHH and Ramon as heels, and as my two headliners, I will let the crowd decide who they want to cheer for. I am really satisfied with my first two picks, and I think some great storylines could be generated out of their all-around talents.

My first 2 selections:

HHH
Razor Ramon
The best pick in the 2nd round, maybe the best mic skills of all time, and great number 2 man in any organization

LOL @ saying Scott Hall has the best mic skills of all time when Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes, and Edge were all taken in the same round.

LOL @ choosing any female. There are like 10,000 other females that could easily take her place.

qualifications: look good in a bikini, not be a bumbling ******.

This is pretty stupid. Trish is both more over with the crowd and better in the ring than about half the male wrestlers taken so far.

Oh, and Rock's the best of all-time on the mic and it's not even close to being close. Seriously, I don't even see how you can argue it.

Probably correct, though you can make a case for Flair or Piper. Maybe even Foley too. And those guys have an edge in doing it for a long time.

But Rock probables takes it in the talent department.
