I remember watching this dude in WCW and thinking wtf he sucks, fat chick thriller, 70’s guy wtf is wrong with this dumass. Then later I watched the first one night stand and saw this match:

and then I was like, man this dude is AWESOME. And he is, cause he’s Mike Awesome. I forget how we’re judging foreign success but this dude was big in Japan and was a monster in ECW for a while before he jumped ship to WCW and got buried with a banging fat chicks gimmicks.

I like his look, he’s huge, and he has insane agility and in ring skills for a guy that big. Does top rope stuff, suicide dives, takes nasty chair shots. Seriously what other 300 pounder goes over the top like that? Definitely has the potential to put on a hugely entertaining match with the right environment. The hardcore style doesn’t exactly fit with the rest of my dudes, but I figure I can fill out the roster with guys that are a little more in line with him, and have him be kinds of a secondary monster who brings a kind of weapons edge to him that can be the guy who blindsides the champ with a pipe one day and says “it’s time for my shot, bitch”. In the meantime he’ll be like a secondary contender, hold the other belt, work as a gateway for dudes who want to get to the top.

Don’t really know anything about his mic skills, so I’ll say they’re average. He also continues my trend of having sick entrance music. I'ts personalized goddamit. Longevity, he went for a solid decade and a half between his first match and his last, if not totally regular all the time. This is the guy I was talking about who would be a great “monster” for the guys who are getting more technical dudes in general. Overall, I think he’s incredibly underrated and if given the right environment he can be a pretty sick draw. And this is that environment woo.
