You need some UNDRAFTEDs on that writeup. Great pick, though, Backlund was very underrated.

I was just debating about him. 77-83 was kinda a dead period for WWE, and he's not the most charismatic guy in the world. Although, I really liked his bookworm heel thing in the mid-90s. Still, I think this is a reach.

I don't know who you have (team wasn't listed with your last pick), why don't you tell me? What I said was a general comment about Mysterio, rather than about the team you're building anyway.

We're discussing the pick right now, should have something up in a little bit

I'm pretty sure the guideline was that you're allowed to mention undrafteds as long as you're specifically talking about something the wrestler you're drafting did with them (major matches, tag title reigns, huge feuds, etc.), but you're not supposed to mention undrafteds when commenting on other people's picks or when comparing the wrestler you're drafting with others. If I'm wrong I can go back and edit though.

Definitely didn't expect the guy that took Van Dam and Cena to take Backlund. He was 5th on my board, directly behind Booker T. Very good pick IMO, he's definitely a solid heel that can mesh reasonably with Van Dam and Cena.

This is a bit silly. He was consistently in the top 20 of PWIs top 500 throughout the 2000s, his in ring work was great at his peak and way better than some people who went before him. Hes also been in the bussiness 20 years, longevity is part of this right? And lol @ not taking him in the 1st 6 rounds, thats pretty absurd.

we have Eddie Guerrero and Terry Funk (70s peak Terry Funk, not Chainsaw Charlie and deathmatch Terry Funk from the 90s(really people keep forgetting this point)). He wouldn't really get booked against any top giants or anything like that

You can't pick Booker T and not post this:

I figured Booker T was probably decent value here but he was someone I decided I didn't want on my roster ever. I don't think anyone on earth has ever anticipated or looked forward to a Booker T match or been excited about a Booker T related storyline. He's so bland/uninteresting. He left WWE for TNA and it took me like six months to notice.

Have never really understood why people find that Booker clip so amusing. I mean I do, lol n-bomb, lol it's a white person, but it's just so standard seeming to me. It's a black guy talking ****, which I guess is wierd in the WCW context or something, but not the giant rofflebomb that it gets made out to be.

**** **** ****, I really wanted Booker.....I have no clue who to take when I'm up

It's less that Booker says the n-word and more his reaction after it slips.

Probably not a reach to grab the PWI #7 wrestler of all time with the 49th pick.

I think I have a bit of a facemelter coming. I am sure he will fit my promotion nicely though.

I think in a era where MMA is king, kayfabe is broken, there's a lot more money to be made in well booked technical wrestling than people might think.

That Vince's way is still making him money says more about how nostalgia and drive intertia and the benefits of a functional monopoly more than anything else.

eta- I am very intentionally responding to this quote out of context just to make a point I wanted to make.
