yea, I wouldn't say that Luger was one of those heels that casuals really got into. He was never booked well at all, and he needed some booking help

austin didn't job to lesnar because it was a random monday night raw that they wanted him to lose on. Austin did the right thing for business because doing that job was so WCW in trying to pop a rating as opposed to doing a ppv that would get lot of buys

red had a big year that year. IIRC there was a big chase for him getting the X division title and he had done some big matches in RoH. It was right after WCW folded and Vince blew the invasion angle. TNA was on a weekly PPV schedule and WWE was the only game in town, so there were a lot of indy guys that were higher then they'd normally be
