Not sure how I feel about Ross going this early. All I do know is that if people think it's a good pick, then Lawler at 29 is even sicker.

This. Lawler has great value as the essential heel color man, although his work lately has been going downhill a bit imo.

Other people can chime in, but I think JR would have been there for a few more rounds at least.

While this is true, a bad announce team can really kill a show. WWE has been trying to find a good replacement for Ross for years and almost everyone they've trotted out there has bombed. I watch TNA sometimes, but Don West is like unbearable, and the commentators on the smaller indy-type videos are even worse.
