I'm not a huge fan of Sting or Lawler, to be honest. Although I admit my tastes may not be the majority's tastes. Sting = great face, Lawler = very very good heel so it's certainly not bad.

Agreed. I'm calling it a night, hoping to pick tomorrow morning. If both my guys are off the board at that time, I'm putting my fist through the school's monitor.

I'm pretty sure if nothing else I have the two best entrances hahaha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN5CiElINSs

Honestly, how can you not love Scott Hall? To me he was the most likeable heel of all time, surpassing even Corporate Rock. His swagger, bravado, and machismo were really something to behold, and his Cuban accent smack talk was truly awesome. Add onto this his amazingly awesome trademark toothpick flick, the fact that he was capable of putting on tremendous matches (HBK/Razor Wrestlemania Ladder Match is still my favorite match of all-time), and a ****ing sweet finisher in the Razor's Edge, and to me the guy is the total package, alcoholism be damned. Hell, I even loved him as a member of the nWo, his "survey says....one more for the good guys" promos never failed to crack me up. I saw someone mention that HHH and Hall being together could be a problem, but I assure you when they see the amazing booking I have put together they will have no desire to influence storylines.

As you might be able to tell, as a wrestling fan I have always much preferred the heels to the faces, as they have always seemed much more interesting to me. In the Tiburon Wrestling Association, I plan to utilize both HHH and Ramon as heels, and as my two headliners, I will let the crowd decide who they want to cheer for. I am really satisfied with my first two picks, and I think some great storylines could be generated out of their all-around talents.

My first 2 selections:

HHH
Razor Ramon

With the 40th pick in the draft, I’m taking:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yoMU4ij2lc

Spoiler:

Ravishing Rick Rude

Was debating between him and another sick heel, but that music just puts him over the top. Seriously how can you not love a man who comes out to that?

Rude was a top heel in every promotion he was in and had a great innate ability to make the crowd hate him. I think he’s pretty comparable to Jake the Snake, who went earlier this round, maybe a little lower because he never really had a face run I don’t think. Definitely has the mic skills to keep up with anyone, as evidenced by his later days when he was a mouthpiece for both DX and the NWO, and plays the “I’m just better than you” card perfectly. I’m a little bit concerned that his schtik is a little too similar to HBK’s, but they can have some pose downs and some skits where they steal each other’s chicks and it’ll be all good.

The look he had going during his first WWF run was great with the porno moustache, bathrobes, and the crazy tights. It’s a small point but, those tights were awesome and it was awesome when he would have the belt sprayed on there going into matches.

From wiki:
“One of Rude's trademarks was his specially airbrushed tights that he wore during matches. In one storyline, he tried to get Roberts' real-life wife, Cheryl, to comply, aggravating Roberts. On another occasion during the Roberts/Rude feud, Rude came to the ring with a picture of Cheryl stenciled on the front of his tights. A furious Roberts charged the ring and stripped Rude, appearing to television viewers to leave him naked, although the live audience saw him stripped to a thong instead." Ahead of his time, imo.

His longevity is not great because of injuries and dying tragically young, but he was near the top of the card for his entire run. Never won the big belt in either of the major feds, but he’s been the NWA champ, IC champ, and has the second longest consecutive reign with the US Title at almost 14 months. In any case, he's got a solid decade to work with, which is pretty damn good for wrestlers.

He’s feuded with and had great matches with a bunch of the headliners picked already including Sting, Steamboat, and the Snake. Hell, he even had a pretty decent series with the Warrior, whom everyone’s been bashing as a terrible worker.

Now what I’d like to have now, is for all you keyboard-mashing, pick-bashing, internet slobs to take a moment and check out the Sexiest Federation Alive:

I figured there's like a 1/20 chance my other guy slips cause there's definitely people who think he sucks, but there was 0 chance Rude was getting by.

Sidenote: WWEClassics.com is leeeeeeeegit. $3.95 a month is killer for all the stuff they have. All 1993 and 1994 RAWs with more 1995s coming up.

Tons of other old stuff. A+++++++

I know a guy who went as Val Venis for Halloween this year out in the East Village. It lasted about 5 minutes before he was buck naked.

So glad that our shortlist is accurate.

When we decided on Goldberg, the list contained: Edge, Goldberg, Race and Rude. Ridiculous how close that was.
