I love when people take results oriented in a poker sense and think it means the same thing outside of a game.

And the thoughts of CM Punk v Steamboat in their primes makes me want to tune in
hart vs edge defenetly excites me in ways that are awesome.

the post someone made before about hart and edge vs punk and steamboat...... came.

that is a dream match that i wish i could see.

Our Edge write-up...

Our 2nd round pick, and 35th overall...

Entrance music

"The Rated R Superstar" Edge

From Wiki:

Copeland was asked to wrestle in a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) match in 1996, now known as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Canadian wrestler Bret Hart, who saw Copeland wrestle, put in a good word for Copeland, which ultimately resulted in Copeland receiving a developmental contract with the WWF in 1997.

Clearly our top 2 picks are very well acquainted with each other, and should make for a dangerous duo at the top of our federation. Plus, we got a little Canadian connection going.

The Rated R Superstar is another very versatile wrestler. He has been in multiple high-wire matches, and will never shy away from any table, chair, or ladder match. He's got a full stable of moves, with his specialties being his finisher Edgecution

and the Spear.

Not only is he multifaceted in the types of matches he takes, he can also carry any kind of card. He's been a middle card dominator (5-time Intercontinental champion), a tag-team specialist (14-time Tag Team champion w/ a number of partners), and a main event headliner (9-time heavyweight champion).

He's been great in whatever role he's taken. He's a sick heel, but has also made a very good face at times throughout his career. To go along with this, he's very underrated on the mic:

Funny Edge moments

Some of Edge's accomplishments:

--WCW US Champion
--5-time World Heavyweight Championship
--12-time WWF Tag Team Champion/World Tag Team Champion-with Christian (7), Chris Benoit (2), Randy Orton (1), Hulk Hogan (1), and Chris Jericho (1)
--4-time WWE Champion
--2-time WWE Tag Team Champion–with Rey Mysterio (1) and Chris Jericho (1)
--5-time WWF/E Intercontinental Championship
--King of the Ring (2001)
--Mr. Money in the Bank (2005, 2007)

Welcome aboard, Edge.

Roster:

1. Bret Hart
2. Edge

been going through this thread and watching various old youtube stuff and just watched Ric Flair's WWF debut on Primetime... I noticed a Bob Knight lookalike in the background in the red sweater. What is the deal with that?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpyiW7N9E_I

is there a pick list anywhere?

Edge is by far the best all around guy in the WWE right now, too bad he's injured. He's capable of Jericho levels of hilarity on the microphone, and I love how you can stick him in any match format and he'll excel.

In before CM Punk

No, it's a back body drop, a low blow, and getting on top of a guy in the corner and punching him ten times in a row. Wow, TONS OF SKILL!!!!!!!!!!!!
So your contention is that the only thing that matters is getting popular wrestlers and getting good workers is irrelevant and that the only thing that pumps up crowds are cheesy moves?

I think Batista is a slight reach here personally, just because some other guys on the board are better heat-getters and wrestlers.

The draft doesn't end after the second round. There will be plenty of chances to get great workers and very few chances to get legit megastars.

Untouchable,
This wasn't even specifically about the Warrior pick. I just posted that good workers are more likely to fight in aesthetically pleasing way. Mjw countered by saying the most aesthetically pleasing things are back body drops.

I was looking at my rankings and couldn't find Batista... 5 more minutes of scrolling and I finally got there.

Of course workers are important. But there is tons of time to get role players who put on decent matches. There isn't very much time to get super popular guys who sell tickets.

How are the newest WWE video games? Are they anywhere near as good as No Mercy for the N64 back in the day?
