Spoiler:

With the 14th pick, The Untouchable Wresting Federation selects the man they call
Spoiler:

STING
Aside from Ric Flair, nobody has more success and longevity in the WCW than Sting. Starting in the early 80’s, Sting came up the hard way, mastering his craft at the UWF. It didn’t take him long to get to the NWA and challenge Ric Flair for the Heavyweight title. The match was a 45-minute epic display of charisma and skill that would make any wrestling fan fall in love. They wouldn’t fall out of love any time soon.

Eventually, WCW officials wanted Flair to relinquish his belt to Lex Luger, but Flair refused and demanded that Sting get it. Sting went on to win the title from Flair and go on to a legacy as one of the most beloved faces of all time.

In 1996, Hulk Hogan was in the WCW and the Monday Night Wars were getting underway. Sting was in a brief hiatus. In one of the sickest moments of all-time, Hollywood Hogan emerged and double-crossed Randy Savage and joined the NWO.

Sting shed his previous look and adopted a much cooler crow-like appearance. He frequently made appearances dropping out of the ceiling and kicking anybody’s ass that got in his way. Sting would eventually join the NWO Wolfpack and eventually just annihilate the whole NWO.

He’s now working for TNA and is the same old awesome Sting after all these years. He’s also the only wrestler to become a superstar without EVER stepping foot in the WWE. If he had, he easily would have been a top ten pick. We feel this is very good value.

Had Sting on our shortlist for our pick, though he was at the bottom of it. Like it though.

dnky -- I think the perception is that while Punk is okay you reached on him by about 2-3 rounds minimum and passed up a ton of value.

Foley is such a great pick. He is willing to sacrifice everything for the good of the show. He is an expert at getting people over and he's awesome.

Yeah, Sting was the "best" pick left on our board, but we were going to pass him up at 17, as I'm not the biggest fan of his mic skills.

I knew Sting would go, but deep down I hoped everyone would forget about him.

Trade down and draft Punk >>>>> Draft Punk, but Punk could the BPA if you are trying to build a promotion around really good workers.

I assume people are going to start drafting tag teams when double picks kick in.

mjw and I have talked about this and we feel his mic skills are underrated

I'll find some examples

EDIT: No good ones on youtube. He's not great with the mic but he wasn't as awful as some think...we def think he was def the bpa

I don't put CJ in my top 30. He's good, but a bit one dimensional. I'd want him, but not this soon.

Sting's mic skills were just fine before he took on the crow gimmick. The fact that he went as long as he did without talking (during the crow gimmick) and still being a star speaks to how great he really was.

Not crazy over the Sting pick i'd like the number 1 guy to be decent on the mike.
Also lol @ people saying Punk would drop to the third round.
