Of course not. If you foul out in regulation you are DQ'ed for the duration. I'm for changing that to six in college, seven in pros. Then for each additional overtime, one additional personal foul for EACH PLAYER NOT ALREADY DQ'ED.

Why do I feel like that My Cousin Vinny guy arguing before Judge frickin' Munster? "Witness, AND ONLY THE WITNESS, no, you cannot be resurrected for action because the game goes into OT.

LOL. Just kidding. Couldn't resist. Check.

World championship boxing matches back to 15 rounds.

similarly, main events/number one contender matches should be 5 rounds in MMA.

i'm trying to remember the last time the 4th and 5th rounds were actually exciting in an mma championship bout and i'm coming up empty.

If you're trying to "fix" baseball, all you really need to do is keep batters in the box, robot umps, a 20 second pitch clock, and discourage pitchers from trying to hold runners on.

You don't lose a review if you were right.

Hockey overtime
Overtime should be longer. 8 mins at least, 10 preferably. There can be a TV time out where teams can switch ends of the ice half way through.
1 is awesome.
2- you get another review if you win, I think.

What about the time wasted between innings? The first pitch within some time limit?
1-0 games used be finished in two hours. Now it takes nearly three hours.

you need to run commercials at some point.

MLB: either a salary cap (from which my team benefits greatly) or some type of occasional divisional shuffling that gives certain teams a chance to make the playoffs (knowing geography will hinder this), and extend the divisional series to 7 games

Edit: I know none of these are rule changes per se, but more the structure of the sport.

I don't think it's so much the total time that a game takes that people object to. It's a lot of the wasted time.

That's why the time between plays isn't as noticeable in football. It's usually filled with replays of what just happened. In baseball it's filled with closeups of managers and players. People will accept commercials, it's the downtime between pitches.

You could also do stuff like limit mound visits, limit pitching changes, etc.

Football: Pass interference penalties should be reviewable, as these are some of the most important and frequently blown penalty calls.

Or, and I can't believe I am taking something from soccer, run the mini-ad at top of screen. This is even better in baseball since you can precisely insert them during known down times (mound conference, pitcher warmup, etc.) and miss zero action.

in baseball: no more batter time outs, when the pitcher is ready to pitch he can pitch, if the batter isnt ready, too bad.

Baseball: Plays at the bases and balls on the fair/foul line reviewable

Yeah seriously. I'd also like to see a limit of 3 pick off attempts per batter or something. If you use them all up, tough nuts, don't try to pick him off unless you think you actually have a shot at getting him.

Also, live ball subs (as in hockey line changes) would be hilariously awesome in both soccer and basketball.

One thing I would do is slash the number of timeouts in basketball. I think NBA rules now are teams are limited to two full timeouts and a 20 in the final two minutes, cut that down to one total and let there be some flow to the end of games. These are the best basketball players in the world, they don't need to have a play drawn up for every single late possession.
