A bit tough.

I'd actually go the other way. Make it if they keep it in play and the defensive team gets the ball, make it a steal as well as a block.

Or it goes straight back to the guy who shot it and is now standing 2 feet from the basket.

I also don't think there's that many blocks out of bounds where there are that many alternatives.

Maybe 1 a game?

Most blocks out of bounds are the result of where the block happens. e.g. someone coming in for a layup and the angle the defender is coming means the ball will head towards the baseline if it is blocked.

March Madness

Get rid of the 16 v 16 play-in games. No one wants to watch them

Last 8 at large bids play the in games. Make them all 9 seeds

9-12 last at large teams are the 8 seeds

Basically, the last 12 at large teams play the 1 seeds in the 2nd round

And why are these play in games played in Dayton??? They should be played in Vegas. Fly to Vegas on Tuesday. Watch 2 play in games between decent teams. Same thing on Wednesday. Watch the games at the sports books Thursday - Sunday. What an amazing week that would be.

Get rid of the play in games. It is bull**** that 16 seeds make it to the tourney, but not really. Or make the borderline teams play in them exclusively, not teams that won their conference.

IMO, the NIT should start one week later. And they should cherrypick teams that went out in the first weekend.

Imagine ja morant in the NIT

So the Seattle Sounders can insert rods into the urethras of their opponents?

It would be great if the selection of the teams in the NCAA tournament and NIT were more like the Champions League and Europa League.

Could even guarantee an NCAA tournament bid the following year for the NIT champ.

Baseball:
-4 outs per inning
-Games are reduced from 9 innings to 5
-Pitch clock at 10 seconds
-Foul ball on full count = walk

I don't even get how this is supposed to be attempting to improve baseball.

Reduce games to 1 inning with 27 outs.

Pitch clock would actually be very nice though.

Could have some amazingly short games. Road team gets shut out and then home team leads off the bottom of the inning with a HR, everybody goes home.

I got one. Cheaters actually don't get to compete/coach in their sport.

Ha, that's true. Would be super tough to get shut out though.

Other alternative is 27 innings of 1 out each. Would put the focus on the long ball. Give the fans what they want.

That would leave quite a few sports with no competitors.

Barry Bonds Intentional Walk rule: if a player is walked on 4 pitches in the 7th inning or later - with at least one runner on and first base open - the team at bat can insert a pinch-runner, and it's as if the AB never happened. So the player at the plate can bat again with first base now occupied.

I think you'd also need to apply the rule to a non-intentional BB. BB is a major flaw in Baseball that caps a player's offensive performance.

Well that's the idea behind limiting it to a 4-pitch walk. I hate the intentional walk - especially when there's a player as dominant as Bonds was. It just sucks for the fans.

4 out innings is a good one and 5 innings. Baseball so long who wants to watch 4+ hours

Hockey: penalty

Penalty should last the time it’s given , regardless how many goals are scored ....
Gretzky times ( when this rules was changed) are over....

That rule was changed because your own ****ing team scored too much in the 50s. At least own up to it

every run scored should count as ten runs. no other changes.

All pitchers must be bots, fans vote on pitches.

At-bats start with the bases loaded, full of designated runners.

3 innings, each player bats every inning until they make an out.

No foul territory.

Hotdog and beer must cost $1.75
