Why should they be able to throw the ball away when nobody is near by. Just throw it near a receiver.

re grounding, they should enforce it strictly. the ball needs to cross the LOS, inbounds.

Football refs should have a limited number of flags between them. Really think I'm onto something with this one.

Then wouldn't the players/coaches know when they are at the limit and be able to do whatever they want? I agree though that the number of flags is really aggravating

Edit: If refs are going to be the third team on the field, at least make them think about it. Imagine the game day threads.

Good news: It looks like the MLB will use a pitch clock starting next year

Bad news: It's 20 seconds per pitch, and the average pitch time last year was 22 seconds per pitch. A mere 2 seconds saved per pitch.

They should eliminate refs for the NBA all star game and let the players call their own. Will lead to hilarity and as a bonus will cut down greatly on Carmelo Anthony talking.

What makes baseball take so long is the incessant pitching changes from the seventh inning on. I think there should be some sort of penalty for changing pitchers in the middle of an inning, that's what holds up the game.

Yea, the National Anthem is so full of **** today. Gov. shut down, troops overseas can't watch the game, and they have a token black guy singing. The Trumpkins love it but it's not fooling anyone else.
