Look, Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning, but a free agent QB could be anyone, even Peyton Manning

This is nice

No, the Broncos are never cutting Manning this offseason.

Maybe they can improve the rest of the roster, b/c Manning has been carrying them.

You don't cut Peyton Manning unless a) you have a better option (hint: there isn't one) or b) you're rebuilding. Broncos have/are doing neither so unless it comes out he's seriously injured or something I don't see why you would cut him.

Even with his subpar last 4 weeks he's still a top 5 QB this season by almost any metric and the Broncos are 11-4 and are a huge fav to finish 12-4 and get a bye.

I think if it legitimately came to that, ie the Broncos are clearly going to be better w/o Manning but are on the hook for Manning, he'd prob make it easy for them and just retire. He seems fairly honest with himself. Before last season he was even saying, paraphrased, "I can't throw it like I did."

He knows if he can still make the throws, and I doubt he hangs on once he can't.

History tells us this is unlikely.

I agree Manning hadn't looked good the last four weeks but Brady was total AIDS the first 4 weeks and no one wanted to cut him (JIMMY G calls were hilarious tho). And before that he was great.

We all know he is immobile and has a noodle arm. It's truly incredible how he's played even with his significantly diminished physical skills. For that reason alone he's one of my fav players ITL despite never having any rooting interest in the colts or Broncos.

Yeah he's just getting his bad games out of the way now. I wonder if there's any correlation to Brady and Peyton both sucking while their receiver(s) were hurt.

it's not "people" there are only absolute morons left. there is a (shocking) amount of overlap between the brady>manning & kobe>lebron crowds. you'll quickly notice how much backtracking and hypocrisy goes into their "arguments". its pretty amusing to me that anyone gets sucked into a discussion with them. best just to sit back and laugh.

but yea, 38 yo Peyton Manning with like 20% arm strength and no mobility is gonna put up top 6 seasons yards, tds, y/a, any/a, ny/a, any/a for his illustrious career, and, for the 3rd straight year, lead the team to 12+ wins and a bye. what a **** QB. he definitely isn't close to what he was when he was actually the GOAT, which makes it even more hilarious that he gets jumped on so much for his Broncos-era play when it's clearly just re-enforcing the argument that peak Manning is more valuable than any player in NFL history. it's really not that close.

I would definately take Manning over Brady if it was for a game that meant nothing that was played in san diego, in a dome.

I'd snapcall Brady in a superbowl after going undefeated. But only with sufficient video equipment.

But look at how many TDs he threw for against Oakland!! Games in September mean the same as game in January. His teammates let him down. Everyone else is stoopid. Blah blah blah.

The only people to laugh at in this argument are donkey's like you that actually think this argument is "not close". That's just insanely ridiculous. Of course it's close. It's incredibly close. I don't understand how you could possibly watch both careers and not see that it's at least close and people that think that Brady is better have a legit argument.

FYI, even though I'm a pats homer, I'm still in the "Manning is better" camp.
