I'm honestly torn. I love Manning, but Elway is a donkey-toothed, **** eating moron who I would absolutely love to see fail.

Manning obv > Tebow, but chim expecting any sb equity from broncos is lol. Hopefully someone will give TebowTime a chance, prob most interesting offensive game plan in the NFL I've ever seen. Lol though at Tebow going for a 1st. I'd doubt even a 2nd.
These are the key points dude. Broncos have upgraded, and Tebow's market value speaks more about his worth than some run hot victories last season do.

Blocking is fundamentals of football to an extent. I think Tebow is well versed in fundamentals. Plus, he's huge and is not afraid to hit / get hit.
Too bad he wasted his time learning the fundamentals of blocking instead of the fundamentals of throwing, then we wouldn't even be in this mess

Tebow is a money making machine especially in Jacksonville. Blaine is never going to be anything in this league.

Jacksonville, unlike Denver, can benefit from a guy that will put people in the seats.

Really hope they overpay.

They have a tarp over some seats because people don't go to the games.

They want to get rid of the tarp.

A non-top 20 player at any position 2 years into the league isn't going to get a first, though if any would it would be Tebow. NFL uses 1st round picks for spiking franchise players, you're not going to see many teams give up that for a project, which is stupid because that's what Tebow was all along. You don't give up on a guy whose ceiling is top 3 QB in the league, and if you do it's ****ing stupid. I doubt Elway give two ****s about dip****s wanting Tebow over Manning to start. If they can get a first from Jacksonville or equally ****ty team likely to pick top-15 for Tebow, sure go ahead. But bad value otherwise. League is all about spiking top 10 QBs (Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Rapesburger, Eli, Warner), otherwise you aren't going anywhere unless you have elite D(Ravens, Bears).

Straight up trade for Mallet is dumb as well, if NE wants to make that trade, you don't want it.

Plus isn't Tebow GOAT backup? Can rando victories and doesn't cause losses through turnovers w/ possibility of becoming a top QB?

I think you really need another team in a bidding war to get that to happen. Not much leverage if Jax is the only team really interested.

tebow fumbled at a really high rate last season. the "he doesn't cause turnovers" narrative is lol. he didn't throw many ints mainly because he didn't throw many passes.

Also, fwiw, if the Broncos miss the playoffs it won't be because they miss Tebow, it'll be because they play the Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Steelers, Ravens, Bengals, Patriots, Texans, and Chargers (x2).

Random internet banter from Chiefs Planet:

Quote:
Apparently, teams were pre-qualified by Manning prior to any visits. When Condon was contacted by the 12 teams, he told them that the contract Manning was starting at was 5 for 90 and going from there.

Teams either had to say in or out at that point.

From there, Manning narrowed his selections.

I was told this from someone yesterday, and then today on Twitter, a great guy to follow, Andrew Brandt commented on it as well. I was leery about what I was told, but this guy confirmed it.

The Chiefs never got past the pre-qualified stage.

Seattle did, but when Manning narrowed his choices, the roster had no appeal.

Just thought I'd post this since we had a lot of discussions about why the Chiefs never got a face to face.

I'm really not even concerned about the contract.. so much cap space, cap going up significantly soon, and if Manning goes down who cares if we have money to spend we're sunk anyways.

9/34 in INT% behind almost all top10 QBs outside Smith

In October of last year he was best in TO% (out of actives and all time players) defined as turnovers/(sacks+passes+rushes)

http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com...t_best%3F.html

does anyone know where to find current TO% stats for QBs?

What they need to do is have a young QB for the future learn behind Manning. I can't see them using a 1st round pick on a QB. They want to win now. This is why they should give Tebow a chance to learn from a great. If he doesn't improve. Dump him next year.
I disagree that you want a QB to learn from Peyton. Just get a journeyman backup in case he goes down, drafting/trading for a young QB is somewhat wastefull since Peyton is notorious for not sharing snaps at all during practice.

no, because he can't run a similar type of offense to manning
