really dont know if Jets have enough $, even if with the 12M of cutting Sanchez. Would prob have to do more restructuring, bc they prob have to bring in Reggie Wayne

is 10-12M/yr enough?

i pretty much base this on the likelihood of the team to win the division. giants be damned, having to play 3 road playoff games and win them all just to get to the super bowl is hard as ****. i think the cardinals with manning would have a much easier time of beating out the niners than teh seahawks. manning ---> fitz would decimate the niners secondary more than tate/baldwin

some of the teams mentioned in the manning hunt got to where they were with effectively dog**** at QB. manning at 50% > smith, skelton/kolb, t-jax/whitehurst, moore, unleashthedragon, sanchez and probably cassell let alone if he's actually healthier than that

Broncos,Redskins,Jags,49ers have the most cap room and most likely teams to go after Manning.

He's going to sign with the Packers in order to study under Rodgers.

Ponder does similar things but isn't as talented as a runner

I think the 9ers should sign him but i doubt they will.. I doubt he would ever want to go to the redskins or jags. Probably ends up as a cardinal...

Huge lol to that dude that said u could never cut sanchez for manning but wants balt to cut flacco.. they are essentially the same person.. i see no difference between cutting one over the other..

Yeah, the 9ers sticking with Alex if they could legitimately land Peyton would be unspeakably terrible.

They were apparently super close to the cap going into the offseason. They're cutting Bart Scott, so along with the restructuring of Ferguson, they should save like 15m in space. 27m is plenty for those two. If they restructure one or two more of their guys, they'll prob be able to keep Pouha too.

Why would the Vikings, who aren't even close to being a Super Bowl team, take Manning? The Favre experience was enough for the next decade or so.

I think Peyton chooses to stay in AFC due to Eli being in NFC and its a tougher division imo. So it's likely Miami and maaaybe the Chiefs cuz of division but Miami makes way more sense if he goes AFC.

If he is fine with NFC then its Arizona or maybe SF if they would dump ASmith
But I think that would be headache and they wont, so its Zona if he goes NFC.

Zona has Fitz, solid RBs, and wants to acquire another WR opp Fitz.
They also have Whizenhunt who completely changed his offense and tailored it around Warner's strengths.
They hired Peyton's former QB coach to coach their WRs which can't hurt. Peyton has been already pitched by Larry Fitz at SB...and they are friends I guess?
Zona plays in a dome 1/2 the season.
Zona also has a legit up and coming Def.

also Zona has Fitz

I don't see how AZ is any closer to a Superbowl than Minnesota at this point. They've got Fitz and they've got AP. Manning and AP together.. throw in a WR free agent signing or even get a big time WR in the draft, and they're pretty much instant playoff contenders imo. They had a bad year this year, while AZ had an okay one.

the fact that a lot of good qbs sucked in their 3rd year doesnt mean sucking in your 3rd year means youll end up being good

umm.. its not just about the team.. az doesn't have to play the schedule that minnesota does.. az has a better chance at getting to the playoffs and getting a better seeding in the playoffs than minnesota would..

the only reason sf might not be interested that i can think of is harbaugh. that guy has an enormous ****ing ego and it's possible him and manning can't co-exist being as how a manning-led offense is the exact opposite style than the one harbaugh coaches (60/40 run as opposed to like, 70/30 pass)

scott is a guaranteed contract

and we're all talking about big contracts, but what if peyton doesn't care that much at this point? he has tons of money and endorsements, maybe he's willing to sign for 7-8 mil, so that team can get wayne + other help so they can give him one or two more superbowl runs

The Redskins better sign Manning or draft RG3, if we sign Flynn or Orton I'm gonna be so pissed.

also i think it has to do with personalities involved on team/ownership etc.

Awesome input as usual, natediggity.

Have no idea if he's coming to Houston or not but assuming he's healthy I'd be ****ing stoked.

Assuming he's healthy and they draft a WR in the first round they'd have to be AFC favorites, right? They just resigned Foster and that D is young and nasty, and AJ and Daniels should still be good for 1,500+ yards between them.

And he plays in a dome and gets to stick it to the Colts twice a year? Holy **** much excite.

Would be funny to see the Texans' career record against to Colts go from like 2-18 to like 8-18 haha.

Kubiak won't want Peyton though as he likes to have drones. That's my read on him. I could be wrong but Kubiak would hate having someone much smarter than him at the helm, even if it meant shippin' RANGZ. LOL Kubi.

It's everywhere. There are people on Cowboys' sites talking about trading Romo to sign Peyton.
