manning to the eagles would be the best fit IMO and the eagles need a QB bad

i'm not sure why fit matters since he'll never play again

it would be better for the eagles in the long term to get rid of vick so even though peyton won't be playing by signing him they'll be releasing vick helping them in the long run

plus they'll collect insurance money for peyton so it will be free and won't be a huge PR hit

they're built to win now but they're still a very young team and all the important players besides justin smith (who is signed through 2013) are locked up long term. with a good qb the team should be built to win for years to come.

anyway it would suck to punt the season because smith got his feelings hurt but it's worth the risk imo.
that's kinda scary. and justin smith is signed until the cap goes up.

also, I hope alex smith signs with the dolphins.

It's his division, his wife is from tennessee, and you all know he went to school there.

so if he wants a new challenge he goes to the 49ers, if he wants the same thing plus his in-laws, he goes to TEN.

indeed Lol steelers, but that was the best possible matchup for the Broncos defense with their great rush off both edges; steelers OL is pretty bad and they lost their best player, RT Colon, awhile earlier that season. End result was Roethlisbitch's lol pocket presence getting raped, and he couldnt really move well anyway bc of injury iirc

no idea how their defense dropped the ball in that game though. I guess Ryan Clark is a bigger part of that defense than I thought, probably allows Polamalu to freelance quite a bit more

Obviously this guy doesn't know ****, but if this were true it would be hilarious.

Teblow would be the first QB with a sub 50% completion rating to demand a trade.

IDK why he doesn't just wait for this peyton deal to fall through instead of looking all butt hurt. hes gone through so much crap his career, i'd figure this is nothing for him.

Miami failed at getting Harbaugh last year, Fisher this year... Now they have failed at getting Manning, Flynn, Smith (if Manning goes to Titans/Broncos). Not to mention Brees when he was released.

Spoiler:
They did get LeBron though.

Im still not getting this consensus that the Broncos are superbowl contenders if they get manning. Obviously Manning >>>>> Tebow or Orton. But as a more passing team they were 4-12 in 2010 and started 1-4 in 2011. They only seemed to win some games when they went to a run heavy offense and when they faced a competent Offense their Defense was shown to not live up to its billing.

I understand that with Manning at QB they are favourites for the AFC West but that is more by default as they dont really have much competition. Once the playoffs come they will be a 1 and done team, as manning was many times with a far better supporting cast in indianapolis.

if the Broncos are favorites to win the division w/ Peyton, I don't think its by a lot. they would still be close with the Chargers

By conventional statistic wisdom, absolutely, especially since there's no longer a chance of Reggie Wayne tagging along. But at this point I'm almost expecting the Chargers to start 3-5 since for whatever dumbass reason they always start so slowly

Raiders are better than SD & better than Denver even with Manning signing there.

Going to SF doesn't necessarily maximizes PM's ring chances when you consider how much better the top NFC teams are right now.

Peyton on 49ers arguably makes them best team in the league let alone the NFC.

Peyton to Denver/Titans is still debatable if they are best team in AFC West/South
