The first sentence is misleading, and flat out wrong.

this.

Saying Moss should've been GOAT is like saying David Thompson should've been > MJ.

As is, Moss is prolly 2nd GOAT, but he finished 2nd in the '73 Belmont Stakes. I hadn't looked at the career receiving & TDs lists for awhile; Rice is just absurd.

There is not a single HOF coach, QB or GM who ever lived who would take Moss over Rice, or would spend more than ten seconds thinking about it, and I'm a pretty big Moss fan.

As for Peyton, at least Niners did their due diligence. If he signs he signs, if not, Alex can't have ruffled panties over it, I'm sure he'll re-sign.

I'm biased, but imo the main reason Peyton has Denver in the final three is out of respect for Elway, and Tennessee is of course located in Tennessee. Can't imagine that Archie & Eli wouldn't tell him SF makes the most sense SB-wise if asked.

I took those odds when it seemed like Arizona and Miami were front runners with Denver the "surprise package"

ESPN had reported other teams had contacted him and I took a flyer on the Titans and 49ers.

Looking good atm!

Re: Peyton Manning landing spot thread.....

moss isn't gonna be a decoy for ****. and if AS is our QB, I'll take under 500 yards for him. That said, I am pumped we have him b/c our receivers suck and moss is a nice little added bonus.

So basically if Moss was a lot better he may have been the GOAT over Jerry Rice. Got it.

i think the argument is that if moss wasn't a crazy person he would be the clear goat but but mental health is a skill imo

Re: Peyton Manning landing spot thread.....

And if Rice ran a 4.3 40 he would have had 25k+ receiving yards and 220+ TDs and if Usain Bolt had good hands and played football he'd be the greatest receiver ever etc. etc.

When player 1) has career stats of 1,549/22,895/197 rec/yards/TD and player 2) has career stats of 954/14,858/153 (that's 65% of Rice's total yardage, btw) you can't argue player 2) would have been better if he worked a little harder or was a little less crazy.

The difference between Calvin Johnson's receiving yardage and Antonio Brown/Vincent Jackson/A.J. Green/Nate Washington was ~65% last year for comparison.

I would also like to see a comparison of Rice on Raiders vs Moss on Raiders.
tl;dr: lol Moss

If I'm a DC I leave Moss single covered with CB2 or CB3..if he beats us he beats us but I won't change that up.

Those stats are telling. Rice at age 41 had better numbers then Moss at age 29. Rice at age 40 had almost at many yards and TDs as moss' combined 2 seasons at age 28 and 29...lol Moss

Hey if Moss worked a little harder at 28 he would have totally shattered Rice's numbers at 40.

sadly I picked up randy for my ffb team 2 years ago after he went to TEN... his problem there, aside from motivation, was that 2 guys could easily cover him, with one on him and one over the top.

he'd destroy a cb2 or cb3 in single coverage

Anyone else got Randy Moss' Topps Chrome rookie card?

Too bad he wasn't as good as Jerry Rice, it'd be worth a lot of money then.

I am sure I had it when I was crazy about collecting cards. I ran so ****ing good in packs/boxes. Best card I ever pulled was a Lebron rookie auto /25. Sold it for $865 or so. /cool story bro

Re: Peyton Manning landing spot thread.....

What'd you do with the $865 though?

If you still have it, I'd reco. buying some Peyton Manning memorabilia

He's about to win some ring/s.

This was 5 or 6 years ago, but I made money off of buying packs/boxes after opening them. Which is so unheard of. The amount I made I'm sure was pretty LOL though.

Im gonna be all over Manning stuff if my Niners sign him. I forgot what its like to have an elite QB.

This knowledge is already built into the market. Just buy top 500 cards through a low fee provider like Vanguard and hold them for decades.

Moss is probably the most talented WR OAT, but Jerry Rice is far and away the best actually able to perform results based GOAT AINEC.

How could he not go to the niners??! It is either that or retire because playing on Denver or Tennessee is so pointless right now.
