if the reports are true, he's showing teams doctor reports and film of his throwing sessions... I don't quite get it, though. If he's so close to being ready that these teams aren't going to make him work out for them, why the **** did indy get rid of him?

I would think. but what if he "picks" say Denver and then they are like "awesome! how does the vet. minimum sound, then we'll give you $1m for every game you start?"

does he then go to Tenn and find out if they will guarantee him $10m for this year?

i mean i would think he knows what the broncos and titans are offering and/or his agent is negotiating with them. agreeing on a contract is kind of a key process in the whole signing a free agent process

Am I really that naive to think Peyton doesn't care as long as he gets paid for performance?

You would think but the reports out of the broncos meeting was that they never even discussed money. The agent wasn't even there iirc. My guess is that when really gets into the details with a team we'll hear about it

Why would Peyton want to sign in a division with the 1. Chargers?

120m seems like a legit number

It is a hoax. No one legit on twitter is saying it.

And now the Freep Sports writer who said it was 'happening' now says it's a fake.

Manning was in the second year of a 5 year $90 million contract. If he gets a legit $120 million contract then somebody is making a big mistake, either Titans for giving him that or Colts for not trading him.

there's no way he's getting that unless it includes some sort of after-football personal services clause, and even then, nobody's that ****ing stupid.

I fist-pumped when they gave CJ.8K that sick deal and if they are paying Peyton that contract (if it includes a huge guaranteed sum which I assume it does), then giggity.

He's a Texans fan. He should be feared of playing Manning though imo, doesnt matter what they pay him.

it wouldn't shock me if the max value of the Peyton deal was something like $100m. the spread here between guarantee and max value could be the biggest anyone has ever seen.
