Yeah pal, what you've been through. I figured I better not engage anymore with that line of thinking.

That line of thinking gets thrown around on here and I've never understood it personally. Every game is its own story, and if you pull out an electric and exciting win you should celebrate irrespective of your expectations going in. It's a way of thinking that certainly doesn't exist the other side of the Atlantic anyway.

I have visions of some of you sitting watching your team every weekend in folded silk suits chewing on a cigar and dispassionately noting how a last second score in a barn burner 'pushes a team up a few spots in my powerrankings' fwiw.

In 09 Bama needed a blocked FG to beat a pretty terribad Kiffin coached Tennessee team 12-10 and I was fine with that

If this woman was my "personal tutor" at Pedo St., I would gladly join their cult.

There should be a thread regarding the Sayreville incident. Surprised there isn't one already.

All I got from that article was "NCAA felt it didn't have the authority to act" on an athletic program aiding and abetting a former employee in the systematic rape of children for over a decade. Good to know where the line is I guess.

Did find this funny tho:

“I know we are banking on the fact the school is so embarrassed they will do anything, but I am not sure about that..."-NCAA Vice President of Academic and Membership Affairs Kevin Lennon

Yeah, he was right on that one...

I got relatives from that area. It's a hard core Democrat area going back to the FDR days. Rural doesn't always equal Republican. It's a similar demographic to much of West Virginia which just elected their first Republican to the Senate in like 50-60 years. They definitely aren't big city liberal Democrats but it's a poor area and union friendly which means the Democrats have strong support. Blue Dog Democrats I guess is what they are though I guess they are finally starting to switch to Republican. John Murtha was a good example of the kind of Democrat from that area who held the 12th for almost 40 years before finally dying. A Democrat took over in 2010 in a special election but the district went to a Republican in 2012.

I live here. Respectfully, you couldn't be more wrong. Philly, Pittsburgh and Scranton. Everything else in pennsylvania is heavily republican.

The modern popularization of the term, however, is commonly associated with Democratic political consultant James Carville, famed for his work on the victorious campaigns of Robert Casey, Sr. of Pennsylvania in 1986 and Presidential candidate Bill Clinton in 1992.[8][9] Carville's original statement, however, did not speak of "Pennsyltucky". In 1992 he said:
“ Between Paoli and Penn Hills, Pennsylvania is Alabama without the blacks. They didn't film The Deer Hunter there for nothing -- the state has the second-highest concentration of NRA members, behind Texas.[10][11] ”

This quote is often paraphrased as "Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Alabama in the middle."

Talked to my friend who graduated from Penn State just the other day, hadn't seen him since the sanctions were lifted, he was ecstatic that "justice" was finally served lol

Still believes that literally one person was responsible and that one person is now in prison so there was no reason to ever sanction PSU in the first place. Will not even listen to any opinions which lay any blame at all at the feet of JoePa. I just let it go

Have you ever caught him when he hasn't quite pulled the skin mask over his skull properly that morning?

Don't know much about the state. So the "Pennsylvania is Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west, and Alabama in the middle" isn't hyperbole?
