I was listening to the Black Hearts Gold Pants (Iowa football- just thought I'd try it out 'cause I'd heard good things and find Adam Jacobi hilarious on twitter) podcast and they had some PSU guys on to talk the dropped sanctions.

They were saying how much they hate that there's this fringe group of like 50 troother fans that just patrol the internet waiting to do what out pal Wally was doing, and how they find it really hard to disagree with people's perceptions of the PSU fanbase as a result. Was kinda nice to hear from more reasonable fans and know that there's some internal disgust as well.

Still think its ridiculous Penn State wasn't given the death penalty. If this happened at Wisconsin instead of Penn State, not only would I no longer be a fan, but I would openly be rooting for them to have their football team disbanded. The contrast to the Cult of Penn State still trying to restore Paterno's legacy is sickening and makes me never want to deal in any meaningful way with someone that would still claim to be a Penn State fan.
