Just not the truth though. One needs only look at their BOT alumni elections. Anyone that runs on clear Paterno's name platform wins by like a 6-1 margin. It would be higher, but usually he's running against another pro-Paterno candidate.
Kathleen Kane, a Democrat, had huge support in central Pennsylvania, which is as right as rural Texas, because she simply vowed to take a look at the case again. She was the first Democrat or woman to ever win the AG race since it became an electable position in 1980.
