given that any PSU fan from now until the end of time will be supporting an institution that covered up child rape (his criterion), I take it SUB's position is that the PSU football should never be supported? unless you're an ******* and/or monster. What about non-football athletics?
I won't pretend to speak for SUB but that's not the lens through which I read it.
PSU fans who travel to away games are going to have a stupidly tough time this year. Many people will cross the lines of good taste, some will cross the lines of physical assult. I don't really care about the former, I'll go out on a limb here and say on the record I'm against other schools' fans assaulting PSU fans.
No idea about the lasting image here. My issue has always been with the attitude of the cultish fans (as much as one can care about that stuff which is to say "not a ton"). I feel bad for any fans who immediately said "How could they have done this. **** JoePa". They were lied to and betrayed by the school and programs they supported.
On the other hand I have zero sympathy for the cultists. You aren't the victims and you don't deserve pity. Your school got hit hard, maybe you should try and find out why. They don't deserve to be assaulted but a few reminders of their delusion by drunken opposing fans seems almost fitting.
