Big props to the NCAA for not hiding behind 'we need to let the process play out' or 'we are awaiting penn state's response' or some other bull****. Getting out ahead of this to drop the ****ing hammer is absolutely the right thing to do. I couldn't be more shocked or happy about it.

wetzel just made a good point, usually these NCAA investigations drag on forever, Miami football still hasn't been punished for blatant paying of players.

which must mean Penn State agreed to the sanctions.

I think they're doing it now rather than waiting because this year's season will be affected. Waiting until practices start would be stupid and people would scream louder (than they will tomorrow) about how this is hurting the current football players.

Reading the Penn St. facebook thread is awesome. I actually have a little bit of energy today, im thinking of actually arguing with some of these people, but then i'd have to "like" the Penn St thing at the top to be able to post I think. Not sure if it's worth it.
