I think that kid's 1st instinct was he was misunderstanding the situation, exactly like BA said. I know how disgusting that sounds, but you gotta put yourself in that kid's shoes.... This is laughable to anyone with a conscience. I mean, really.
I'm trying to put myself in the situation you are describing, and it's just not working. I could maybe see in some sort of family situation? Like, I saw my brother or father raping someone? You could be torn about reporting something like that.
Maybe. I mean, I could see protecting a family member from something like a murder charge. Not the best thing to do, but I can see it and maybe understand it.
But some coach or assistant, or any relationship that isn't involving blood relative? Raping a kid of 15? I mean, if the guy was 18 and they were having consensual homosexual sex, not my thing but whatever. A 15 year old? No question.
It might take a day, it might take a week. I might have to ask some friends what they thought, ask my family what they thought, but without a doubt I'm calling the police eventually. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
