the thing that's terrible about that post is that while they did not eventually convinct sandusky based on mcqueary's testimony, that's more than enough evidence to bar sandusky from being able to use penn state facilities. which, if they had done that, they would be in way less hot water now.

it's just that mcqueary didn't actually see penetration, which was one of the elements required by the statute. the only way to find penetration was through hearsay testimony, and the judge ordered the jury that in order to convict on that count they needed something in addition to the hearsay testimony. they couldnt merely rely on it alone.

I didn't read it all, but I love the logic that we can conclude from the 1998 investigation that another one wouldn't stop him from molesting children, but "[w]e'll and he'll will never know" if more victims would have come forward even though that happened for the investigation and trial over the last year or so.

Interesting article with former administrator who bumped heads with Paterno about disciplining the football team.

This quote reminded me of an article I read just yesterday about the BoT's decision not to remove the statue at this time.

Michigan fired a well liked assistant coach for getting drunk and rowdy in a restaurant. They'd fire an assistant coach for raping kids in a heartbeat.
