yeah but if you get really, really happy about something when it goes well then it's highly unlikely it doesn't bother you when the outcome is not favorable. that's not to say that being unhealthily obsessed w/sports outcomes is a good thing

well, no team I root for has won anything in my lifetime, so I don't know how happy I'll be if they won something, but I am handling the losses pretty easily

Well, maybe I *can* understand - there are definitely aspects of college football I prefer to the NFL. I prefer the fan experience of the NFL, because there's usually drama and tension every week. NCAA ball has wacky, esoteric offenses and defenses, though, which I really appreciate - I love random schools running 4-4s and 3-3-5 stacks and the Double-Eagle Flex and Urban Meyer's spread option and Paul Johnson and all the stuff you never get to see in the pros. Is it the same thing, though? No, right? Not all those things are just intrinsically less efficient 'gimmicks,' I don't think.

college football is mostly a joke due to the cupcake scheduling. A power house playing 3-4 joke games a year in an 11 game season is wtf

depends. do you emotionally invest yourself in hitting the lottery

edit: i'm going to assume the answer is no. the lottery is a freeroll in a way that sporting events are not for many fans. they consider themselves as a part of the experience rather than a witness to an outcome

but if the answer is yes, b/c say you owe a ****load of $ and were at your wit's end, then yeah you were probably on life tilt when you lost
