I don't know if your aware since it's still pretty obvious you know nothing about football but the Quarterback named Dan Marino did not win a championship while he was playing football. However, the Quarterback named Tom Brady has won three. Therefore the comparison didn't make sense.

It's funny, that's actually not me at all. If you knew me irl, you would know I'm actually the most humble person around (I know that by saying that it makes me seem unhumble (I know that's not a word)).

goodie: you're clearly a good guy who's not great at the internet and who's passionate about his sports teams. i think people come here, in part, to get away from people who are blindly passionate about their teams - they get enough of that in the real world. that isn't to say you're not welcome, but i'm not surprised about the reaction you provoke from others (as well as myself).

Thanks Triumph, appreciate the compliment. I'm not sure where you get the "not great with the internet" part but okay. Also, I disagree that people generally come here to get away from blindly passionate people as I think that without those people SE would be impossibly boring to read. I also think that it's very unrealistic to think that if your on a Sports internet forum that people aren't going to come in and support their team. That's what sports is all about. At the end of the day, it's just entertainment.

First of all, I get the idea that Goodie is old. For one thing, most 2002 regs were live players IIRC, and live players were old then, and it's eight years later now so they're even more fossilized. And as we know, old people almost without exception are bad at the internet. There are some exceptions to this though, like Cl.ar,k and Howard Beale.

I think people are smelling blood and are feasting on Goodie like piranhas on chum, which is somewhat unsavory. Goodie, once people in this forum realize that you are unable or unwilling to limit your blind homerism to your team threads you are kind of screwed cuz then nobody will take you seriously and you will get trolled a lot (see: Lakers homers). That's kind of the bed you made though so whatever. And from what I've seen you absolutely have rolled into NY threads and trolled the hell out of them so I don't think you're much of a victim.

I still don't understand the "bad at the internet" part. Seriously, what does that mean? I'm 34 btw, not sure if that constitutes as old but I guess it might on here.

As to your second point, completely agree. I don't have a problem people taking realistic shots at me. It's just that most people are not very good at it which allows me to pretty easily prove their wrong (most of the time) and I do admit when I'm wrong.

Arguing on the internet is fun for me. Arguing in real life is fun for me. Just the way I am and have always been. I am absolutely not a victim and have never complained about being one. However, I disagree that I'm a bad poster simply because I almost always get a response and most of the time, many responses. And to me, that means I'm bringing something worthwhile to the forum, even if people are annoyed by it but are still entertained.
