Video edits out all the relevant footage. 3:00 missing that police have (and are speaking to).

Rio police chief: FBI will notify Lochte he "needs to be heard.”
This is gonna be a straight up public apology for release of the other three situation.

Even if they did lie and falsify a report, it should only be a fine if there is no actual person specified. I don't think their report can ruin anyone's life. Jail time should only be if a false report can actually affect a person.

A Cargo plane with $400M in EUR notes should be Brazil's opening bid for the return of our swimmers.

To me it seems obvious this is all over with a public apology. Seems like super appropriate "punishment"
This is pretty much the most American thing that could have happened at the Olympics. Some drunken morons cause a scene, and it could have been swept under the rug, but instead Ryan had to go full ****** and claim that he was actually the victim.

And the people who are still trying to convince themselves that this was an actual robbery are just so laughable.

If Rio cops hold the swimmers hostage for an apology USA#1 should tell them to GET BENT and retaliate accordingly.

All we need now is a tweet from Trump

Found another good tweet stream:

Chief says:

They don't face jail time...at most fines or community service

One swimmer says there was no extortion and it was their idea to pay to avoid cops

Motive may be two women who were bragging about being with the swimmers at the party

At least one swimmer completely corroborated gas station attendent employee stories

Confirmed the gas station called them that night

Gun could be considered extortion under circumstances, but it seems this is not such a case..was due to drunk and agitated behavior while waiting for police

Lochte the most agitated/rowdy

Is this thread really going to stand for CDL suggesting "maybe they were robbed somewhere else after the gas station"?

Outtakes or a completely unedited version of Lochte's eventual apology currently on the fast track to be a top 10 internet video OAT.

How is it even possible to vandalize a gas station bathroom? I think every one I've ever been in looks and smells like it was vandalized daily for the last 20 years.

Drew Rosenhaus on TV now, this should be good.

Quotes:

Sad for Lochte, he just lost every endorsement ever.

A shame because he's a character and so marketable. Out the window

I'm sure it was in pristine condition and recently renovated. That's why they had the armed guard outside ready to draw.

Or Van-Damme kicked every door in. Yes, that's a Dane Cook joke.

Who are we blaming here more, Lochte or his mom. Didn't she start all of this? Guess he could have easily set the record straight.

Meh, I don't know if I buy this ("every endorsement ever"). I'm sure the damage to his marketability would be a lot less if he had just come clean right away though. Phelps has two DUIs and he's still set to rake in god knows how much more endorsement $.

Yeah he lost his skype connection, came back and said "he just needs to come clean and it'll go a long way to maybe helping."

Not sure I agree. Anyone who likes his character, probably can relate to being drunk, really needing to pee and then either pissing in an alley or breaking into a locked bathroom. So long as he cleans this up with a decent apology, I don't think it hurts him that much.

Yeah but now why would you ever take Lochte over Phelps?
