As long as it's been mentioned, does anyone else think that Chinese Taipei is the dumbest thing ever? It's not a country, it's not a real place, just call it Taiwan ffs and tell China to shove it.

No. I saw the women's individual final and the men's team final and they both rocked. However, this is definitely an event that plays much, much better on TV than live. The targets are 70m away--sitting behind the archers would mean it would be impossible to see who hit what.

God, I love when they cut to a shot of Teddy Atlas during an intro when he isn't talking, he has the greatest blank stare on his face, looks like he's contemplating getting a hooker and chopping her up into little pieces. Just phenomenal. Then during the actual fights, I think he has two things he can talk about, how absurd the scoring is, and how the taller fighter doesn't know how to use his height. He's the best.

As for the Sunday comment was that a mistake? He goes tomorrow night according to schedules: 4x100 medley Final relay 7:58 p.m. Saturday / 10:58 a.m. Sunday (Beijing time)

yeah i was looking at the times on website and forgot that the times were the times in china not the time it is televised.

Yeah he was in Detroit for his son's basketball game. He watched the race and had the interview that was on NBC at the local nbc news affiliate. I thought I read though that he was upset that the US olympic committee did not invite him to go Beijing. Seems like an obvious person to pick as a guest considering the circumstances surrounding Phelp's quest to break Spitz's record.

I'm blown away that there are still people asking about this.
I've barely watched any of the TV coverage but when I have NBC has promoted their website and the live streams on the internet roughly every 82 seconds. I honestly don't know how people can't know about this.

Anyway, if you still aren't aware of it you can watch any of the baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, tennis or any of the other sports live on NBCOLYMPICS-DOT-COM.
