At least in the history books, it doesn't count as RUSSIA winning the Olympic gold medal in men's hockey. They still have never won it. LOSERS.

Very shameful ending of the game. Reminds me of, I think it was the 2008 World Championships. Canada took a penalty in OT and it's pretty much automatic at that point when you have Kovalchuk and Datsyuk roaming the ice.

I wouldn't be surprised if Russia dissolves again after what were a disaster of an Olympics for them. They will likely be banned from 2020 as well. Truly degenerate.

Oh well its kinda crazy. Silver is a crazy accomplishment for Germany but when you have the lead with 1 minute to go and a one man advantage it just hurts now.

What I was trying to say is that OAR will happen again. If not just an outright ban (and the IOC forces athletes to pick a new country.)

OAR may genuinely happen for the rest of the forseeable future, through 2028.
