bad decision to resume the match by Denmark they're clearly shook.
horrendous PK attempt and super soft goal conceded by the keeper.

Whenever they cut to Russian fans in the stands, they look like they actually want to string up the players, but in a cold and calculating way. Scary.

What an emotional rollercoaster the last few hours have been. From the joy of watching a Euro game played at home to thinking we had just witnessed Christian Eriksen die on live TV, to hearing he was awake and seeing the beautiful gesture from the Finnish fans chanting along with the Danish fans, I was in tears through all of it and I'm still very emotional.

I really don't think they should've agreed to play on, they were clearly distraught. But all that matters is that Eriksen will (hopefully) be ok.

And fair play to the Fins, I thought their players and fans were simply class today.

Get well soon.

glad i was playing tennis instead of watching

the producers who didn't cut straight to studio should be fired, plain and simple. ain't nobody got time to watch a man die on a weekend. almost as bad is they cut to eriksen's wife? sincerely hope the producer who called those cams burns in hell.

At least the BBC eventually cut the feed and returned to the studio. Apparently, the host broadcaster repeatedly replayed the incident and in slow motion.

Best of luck to Eriksen! Seems like good news from the hospital and every time heard something positive it was a huge relief. Gut-wrenching stuff.

Was surprised they decided to play, but at least it then gave hope that Eriksen is pretty good considering. Comments after the game from Finns still sounded that playing was just getting through it. And then to think how it was for Danes. Still happy for the win, and proud of our guys of everything they said and how they played. Medics the heros again for sure. Glgl Eriksen and hugs to all the Danes for having to go through it.

Although it was in bad taste to show his wife, but I legit thought he was getting defibrillated on the field and was potentially actually dead. I was watching on my phone, and was busy doing other things, but can't believe they actually showed that.

Kasper Hjulmand, manager of Denmark, has just said that UEFA didn't pressure them into playing today, but that the alternative was to play the game tomorrow at 12:00, because Finland plays again on the 16th, so therefore it was not an option to push it another day, which they could have done if Finland, like Denmark, didn't play until 17th.

The players felt that playing tonight was the less bad option because it seemed impossible to go home, still be in shock and without being able to sleep and then having to go back out tomorrow early and play. Also confirms that Kjær was subbed because he was too affected by the situation. I really think it's a terrible situation for the players to be in, forcing them to make such a decision an hour after thinking they had just seen their teammate and friend die. Hjulmand makes it pretty clear they were really shook and would've rather not played - if the alternative was not to play tomorrow at noon. So it makes it more understandable that they went through with it, it seemed so weird to me, when they walked on several of them looked like they on the verge of breaking down.

Still cannot understand why the broadcasters showed so much of the Erikson incident. The normal protocol when something looks serious is to show something else and yet they showed him getting CPR, gettting shocked by the defib, and his wife crying at the side of the park. One of the most horrilble things I've seen watching football. Absolutely delighted he has recovered but the footage they showed maked it look like he was a goner (he possible was for a period)

It's a crappy situation obviously and knowing UEFA, this always seemed pretty likely- that tweet saying Denmark wanted to play was such obvious spin. They made Dortmund play the day after their team bus was bombed ffs, and it was "their choice" as well, with the quiet part being that the other choice is a forfeit and a heavy fine
