Social media can't even create an algorithm to block fake scam knockoff advertisements for things said social media company actually approves and take money for. Today i saw an ad for a $6,999 Trek electric bicycle for $99.99 for TODAY ONLY! You're asking a lot. In 2021 it shouldn't be hard for every single one of these idiots to be found and exposed

Oh they're still that.

They just lucked into 2 ridiculously weak draws, including all home matches in this tourney.

Then in the final they luck into an early goal and play like bitches for 87 minutes then fold like a cheap tent after going up a goal in pens.

Because then the number of users and engagement would go down and they would have to explain to people why their metrics are suffering and their stock price is stagnant.

Yah but they'll still be English. Are there any half Brazilians who can grow up there then move to England as teens like Jorge/Emerson?

Another would be the circular logic where even when people sincerely disagree with you or point out the flaws in your logic this only serves as more evidence to confirm your original view.

OmgGlutten: "The only way anyone can disagree with me is if they're trying to feel morally superior"

Everyone else: That's silly for obvious reasons

OmgGlutten: "YOU SEE THERE YOU GO AGAIN TRYING TO ACT SUPERIOR!!!

You're absolutely right Omg. The only way anyone could possibly disagree with your worldview would be because they're desperate to score imaginary points on an internet forum.

Racism is not the problem, people wanting to prove they are morally superior via the medium of racism is the problem.

Pure idiocy.

I'm guessing that requiring a phone number verification for every account creates an impediment for registration which means losing out on $$$

I'm not a twitter pro but I'm guessing that even Joe1234567 with an egg as a profile picture who wants to talk **** on the internet while remaining anonymous drives revenues up as long as he's exposed to advertising

so good luck asking huge corporations to cut their revenues for morality

You aren't solving the problem of racism by posting on the internet, it's just another form of entertainment.

Disagree.

Let me guess, you also regard not behaving like an absolute nonce as virtue signalling?

Been a wild month and just to be clear I have nothing against english people or england in general. It is english football fans that are basically the saddest and most delusional people on the planet. Ofc you guys are online so prolly pretty tame but your delusions still run deep!

Anyways IT'S IN ROME AND THERE WASN'T ANY DOUBT

I hope we crush your outdated nation's soul next November too

i'd love to know how much social media engagement enhances a footballer's earnings. anyone got an idea of how much adidas pay some dopey footballer to post 'got these new trainers they are verynice'

feels like it isnt worth the hassle, and plus there's the risk that you/the people who post pretending to be you say something daft and you get into major bother

Ronaldo makes $40m p/a on instagram posting. Seems totally worth it considering he probably doesn't even know the pw to his account.

I thought a yellow card for Chiellini was about right, but after some consideration, I think even with these not-so-perfect rules that we have you could justify a red card:
1. If you deliberately attack the player without getting anywhere near the ball, you get a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Regardless of other circumstances. If Chiellini did this anywhere else on the pitch, even with all 10 Italians behind him to defend a counter attack, he would still get a yellow card for such a foul.
2. A deliberate foul to stop a dangerous attack is an obvious yellow card.

So he should have got 2 yellow cards at once for his foul on Saka.

Not to mention that we should consider changing the rules, since we want to discourage such cynical fouls and players do it all the time. So a yellow card is clearly not enough.

You wouldn't have beaten Italy even up a man. Still would have choked.

it's a pretty clear red because it's violent or serious foul play or whatever you call it. there's not much more to it

If you want to call it a red fine, if you say the rules suck fine, but you can't get two yellows at once for the same foul (or anything you do), even if multiple aspects of it justify a booking in and of themselves. Them's the rules.

it's very clearly not, I haven't seen any analyst give it even a second thought

Everybody knows that it's always given as a yellow (which I agree is an inappropriate punishment for those situation) and Chiellini also knows it

If Chiellini ever thought it'd be anything more than a yellow he doesn't do it
