most of our team too young to care about stuff that happened in the 90s and too poorly educated to know about what happened in the 40s. just another game to them. we should win

Germany has a massive advantage in midfield quality, there's certainly a road to victory there. England hasn't looked great defending set pieces imo but there's absolutely no need to worry about that as long as Sané is taking corners.

We just need to attack that German backline with pace. Hummels needs to be given the runaround by Grealish, Sterling and Saka. Leave Kane on the bench for later.
If we can keep their wingbacks defending then we can do a job on them.

English fans seem a bit different this year, like don't wanna jinx it or cautiously optimistic. Getting to the quarters will blow the lid tho. Also czech is going to get creamed this weekend worse am I the only one who thinks wales has a shot against denmark as ~5/1 dogs

England and their games remind me a lot of the Portugal games in 2016. Seem to be a bit desperate for goals, but seems solid overall and capable of grinding out 1-0 wins while boring everyone watching to death.

Until they can avoid Italy I think they are good.

I dont know what to make of the Germans as all 3 of their games were so different, but they are not all that great defensively. Should be doable for England, but I have the fear of Gareth being Gareth and not playing Grealish/Saka when it will be needed.

It wouldn't be that surprising tbh. Problem with gameplanning for a 0,67-0 win on average is you open yourself up to drawing and getting to penalties, or one Maguire brainfart and you're out.

isnt it mostly the opposite with england? the always beat all the minnows quite comfortably and then lose to the first good team they face (or iceland)

der markt has denmark as bigger favourites than i expected. i actually think this team has shown a lot of weaknesses and obviously eriksen is missed a lot

Tbf i thought we'd have done better but playing in 3rd gear was still good enough to come out of the group of death undefeated.
