Could very well happen; Ivy's hold the top 5 spots in the pre-season coaches and media polls.

Hopefully Harvard's highly touted freshman class isn't all that it's advertised, because if it is, there could be a changing of the guard in a few years.
Don't worry, it never is. Perhaps the best thing for Harvard is the return of Richter.

Both Kalemba and Scrivens are seniors, so this is a key year for both Princeton and Cornell, because backup goaltenders are always unknowns.
Cornell's backup routinely prove they're must more than "unknowns". Underhill was a backup for Burt, LeNeveu was a backup for Underhill, Scrivens was a backup for McKee, and Scrivens has competent backups of his own. The graduation of Greening and the likely early departure of Riley Nash will be the biggest holes to fill next year. The goalies always produce in Schafer's system.

Should be another fun year in the ECAC. Can't wait until Cornell drops the puck at the end of the month!

The Stockon Thunder sign Garet Hunt. 248 PIM last year and someone that doesn't back down from any fight despite being 5'8"

The Stockton Thunder lost Adam Huxley (224 PIM and a fan favorite for years) to the Idaho Steelheads though.

Northeastern finally renovated Mathews Arena so hopefully it will at least be comfortable if they cannot recapture last year's success. I have a feeling an NCAA birth is going to be too much to ask for now that Thiessen is gone.

Last year was, they should be good this year but will be pretty young.

Air Force and Mercyhurst will be the teams to beat this year IMO.

Edit: Multiple tickets would be tougher, but if you look early I think you can probably find some.

Zimmer is correct. Look on stubhub or do whatever you have to do. A game at the Joe is okay. But it's not even close to a game at Yost Arena in Ann Arbor which I rate to be one of the best atmospheres in all of sports that I've ever experienced.

Classic.

This is the exact same room/booth I will be in next Saturday. There's a pic of me on my computer from that same spot wearing a slightly less spectacular suit. Can't immediately find it though.

In other news: My GF saw Slapshot for the first time and really liked it. I was pleasantly surprised as we tend to have really different tastes.

No, because on account of saying that, you can no longer call yourself a hockey fan.

I wasn't really a gigantic fan at first. It grew on me the more I watched it.

I don't think I had seen it all the way through from begin to end the first times I watched it though so that might have been part of it.

Slapshot is long, slow, and boring most of the time. I see that it's 2 hours long, but when I watched it, it felt like 4 hours. Typical of every movie made before 2000 imo.

A+ idea, F- end product.

Paul Newman is magnificent as Reggie Dunlop.

Also, if you've played and tasted dressing room culture, it amesk the movie about 50x sweeter.

Manitoba Moose pancake breakfast on my street this morning. They'll be sporting the East St. Paul Aces jerseys for a game against the Marlies. Pretty sick they'll be wearing the jerseys I was as a kid and not the other way around for a game.

Every movie before 2000? Really?
Well now I can just see that your taste and appreciation for movies must be pretty terrible. So that explains it I suppose.

Love classic jersey tributes in any sport.

Went to the Wheeling Nailers Steak Fry last night. Ready for the season to begin already.

Michigan getting shut out at Alaska.

Quinny sweeping OSU on the road.

Huntsville over Notre Dame in South Bend.

hey bob how did u get the job of play by play announcer? i think thats an awesome job and would love to do it one day. u have a degree in radio and broadcasting or just very good networking skills either way just tell me the story of how u became a play by play announcer?
also how difficult is it to move up to say AHL and ultimately the holy grail of announcing in pro hockey NHL games?

I both expect and would be happy if the Gophers end up right around there, somewhere in the top 10 and fighting for a 1-2 seed in the NCAAs at the end of the season.
