Chicago was bad, and made moves to be in the top 3, odds wise. There's no "deserves" in the lottery. There's just a team with an 11.5% chance that binked. It's hardly a remote percentage.
They still played hard enough to beat the Pens late in the year to punt the Pens from the playoffs, so they were also playing straight up. They did the same to the Sens. So I dunno, everyone involved in 2010 is either gone or fired. I think it's time we get over that and just move on with getting that franchise back to being good. It's good for league revenue and it's good for the game. I think that was one of the best possible places for him to land. Agreed that Montreal and Detroit were probably also decent spots. But lol Anaheim and Columbus. Those markets are basically irrelevant to the good of the game.
