Agree with you, Devils are the 2nd best team in the EC right now

Carolina 8-8-1 without Svechnikov and look very mediocre. They also have a garbage offensive philosophy that doesn't win for **** against good teams.

They managed to settle in nicely well ahead of bottom 4 (who they never were going to out tank given early in year they had young talent to develop and vets to showcase for trades), but behind Flyers and AZ. Trading deadline was uneventful, this Summer should see some action. Not a bad rebuilding year given development and 5th lottery slot imo.

Now resigned to Leafs first round hopes for lolz...they gotta get it done this year, right? heheheh

Leafs should take it this time. Tampa is not what they were and that entire extra season of playoff games over 3 years adds up.

not sure if we need to start another thread for the playoffs since there is so little hockey traffic here. altho if someone wants to start an offseason thread we do need that.

here are the opening round match-ups w/odds (per DraftKings). Team on the right has home ice advantage:

starting Monday:

Panthers (+250) vs. Bruins (-320)
Islanders (+160) vs. Hurricanes (-190)
Wild (+120) vs. Stars (-140)
Kings (+190) vs. Oilers (-240)

starting Tuesday:

Lightning (+130) vs. Maple Leafs (-150)
