I think if the Bruins could set the all time single season pts record, win the cup, and send Bergy and Krejci into retirement like that, I'll have no more demands from sports ever.
I just watched the Lighting vs Blues matchup, that was like watching a different league. I can hardly imagine how the Jets could compete with TB.
Watching Dallas last night, at one point in the game they did what I've seen them do previously to the Jets and the Leafs, they had a moment where they took the puck from one end of the ice to the other, battling all the way. It's impressive to see them win the majority of the battles for an extending period of time like that. And they seem to have a different mindset than the opposition, they know they want to get that puck deep in the corner and with every win they push closer, and they don't concede ground as much as the other team when they lose. Once they get there, they move the puck back to the half board and make a play to the goal.
Watching Morrissey get another overtime breakaway winner, I had a thought about the holes in the top 9. I've been thinking of Morrissey as "Upper Ehlers" this season, I don't think he would like it, but there may be enough depth to try him on the wing. I don't know if the defence would hold without him, and maybe he's too valuble where he is.
But, again, they really should try the offensive AHLers up there, I mean, this is what depth is all about, and bringing the young guys up, especially for the right games, is good for them and could be good for the Jets. When is the right time and the right games, aside from the question of if they are they ready, the Jets have some mojo working that you don't want to upset and you want every point as you have no separation above you or below you in the standings. But you can always sit them if they need to be sat.
What was the other thing...that last Dallas goal...no, but wtf...Lowrey playing with the flu...no...
I remember now, Sam Gagner. I saw one scribe suggest he shouldn't be in the top 6 because he can't keep up skating there all game, which is fair enough, but possibly they could rotate him in and out with someone, because he sure has some playmaking talent. Maybe have him and someone else each play half a shift on one of the top lines. That probably doesn't help build chemistry, but, whatever, it's a short term problem, and I don't think trading to solve a short term problem is generally a good idea [back to the idea that possibly all trades are bad for both teams, like K. Hayes for B. Lemieux].

I just looked at VAN-VGK boxscore and saw Kessel got a penalty. No big deal right. But it gave me a slight confusion and a pause, then it jogged my memory that I had a dream last night where Kessel tragically died, ending his consecutive game streak. Wtf, that was weird. Didn't remember the dream at all, but once I saw his name it triggered something. Still feel a little weird about it.
Whenever I see Wheeler recovering on the bench I hear Batman's voice.
I admit, everything hurts these days. I'm not looking for sympathy. They called me old, they stripped me of the captaincy, they took me from my linemates. Was I treated unfairly? Well, what's fair in this world?
I'm still here. I will be here. You think I'm slowing down, but I still get there, and I will take the puck from you.
I am Batman.

That may silence my critics tonight, but they'll be back. I can almost read tomorrow's headline, Old Man Turns Back Clock. Happiness is fleeting, like a hooker's smile.
I am Batman.
